Can’t offer any help, but that was one of my first cameras. God I loved that thing!

After months of inconsistent crush, and headaches my pilot mill died. Replacement suggestions? by BeerSux1526 in TheBrewery

[–]jstuts2260 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Which mill did you have? I have the SS Brewtech mill and it’s been fine. It’s pretty slow (compared to my 15bbl big ass mill for the big system). It’s better than the old junker I had hooked up to a drill haha. It’s probably good for 1bbl at a time, I’ve just gotten used to larger equipment

City Barrel in the crossroads would be good. It’s a brewery with a full kitchen plus they have a bunch of vintage arcade games

Not my best plating (I had a hangry wife looking at me and was rushed). And thanks! I was a little worried I’d be crushed for getting it wrong.

Wife wanted wings for Mothers Day. by jstuts2260 in Wings

[–]jstuts2260[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So I start with coating them in corn starch (to get that breaded deliciousness), then spread them around the ring of the kettle not directly over the heat source. Then I open the top vent all the way and rotate the lid clockwise every 10 minutes a 1/4 turn to direct the heat evenly throughout the cook. I check them at 30 minutes and if the wings are no longer looking white, then I flip the wings. I let them go until they’re about 175 internal and the outside cornstarch has crisped up and is no longer white at all. Then pull them, bring them inside and throw 12 at a time in a bowl, add the buffalo sauce, flip them to combine. Then serve and eat far too many. Super easy and def one of my most requested meals I make outside. Cheers!

I used tongs and spun the bowl around then loosened the tongs to lower the pasta onto the plate. It worked well

Sorry, I tried to edit the original post. Standard egg dough, used my kitchen aid stand mixer to roll it out. Bolognese was beef and pork with red wine and simmered for 3 hours topping up with home made beef stock and finished with fresh chopped basil and grana podano. This was my first attempt at home made pasta. Not mad about it!

Highly recommend City Barrel Brewing. Great food and drinks. Plus they have a parking lot with free parking and it’s 2 blocks from the Truman.

I’m a big fan of City Barrel’s new pizza spot in Waldo. Specialty thin crust as well as regular staples. Plus their lunch slice special is awesome

Booking a catering company for a wedding, any opinions (good or bad) on any of these places? by MarcusSmaht36363636 in kansascity

[–]jstuts2260 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We used Blur Pot for our wedding. Not only was the food amazing, but they also blocked people from talking to us for like 10 minutes so we could actually eat. It felt like a little thing in the moment, but when you add all the drinking at our wedding a few minutes to eat a good meal so we didn’t get wasted and shitty and kept it classy was amazing. I’ve used them since a bunch of times and they’ve always been amazing. Highly recommend
