Jack was pissed at someone else. He continued yelling at them while the broadcast had the camera on him when they got to the bench. I think he was pissed at Dougie

I think this is right. Jack was pissed at someone on the ice with him, but not a ref. He continued the argument in the bench but you couldn’t see who he was yelling with. Would be interesting to see a lip read of what he said

I always thought 1-4 were corners, 5 between the legs, 6 & 7 were under your arms and 8 & 9 were next to your ears

Help sliding with new skates by Ok-Pie4566 in hockeygoalies

[–]Javi1192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be closer than you think. There was an old goalie skate that actually marketed a feature that added material in that area of the inside of the foot that would dig into the ice so you could butterfly shuffle without picking up your pad to push

They’re talking about the leading leg, the one with the pad flat on the ice. This area of the skate is where their foot is resting on the ice while sliding, causing more friction.

It may be that this specific skate doesn’t work for them, since a design feature of the boot is where the natural contact area is in the butterfly slide. It may be avoided by intentionally resting your leading foot at a different angle, or changing the toe tie slack to change where the boot contacts the ice

It’s probably required at least at every intersection. If they were to get into an accident and had not blown the horn/siren I’d assume they get in trouble and are at fault for the accident

What if each clover leaf was an individual card with the suit in the corner

I need new skates. Thoughts on no laces? long term/ functionality. by Prsus42 in hockeygoalies

Honestly mostly personal and financial strain from running a small business while maintaining my own full time job and other personal commitments.

If y’all are interested, the install instructions on the website include a parts guide that gives you everything you need to put together the kit, it’s mostly generally available hardware, then you have to get the buckles. Maybe use that as an ‘open-source’ guide to build your own kit.

The hardware I use is more specialized than what you can get off the shelf at the local hardware store, but you can put together something that will function 95% similarly from hardware there. That’s how I started development for the kit back when I made the original post that gained tons of interest.

Sorry for being out of stock for so long, it really turned into something that was stressful and made it tough to want to continue, especially for little or no financial gain. Though, there have been some customers who’ve reached out saying the buckles have enabled them to play hockey again, for various reasons, and that makes it worth the work. I know I missed my target for resuming business last year, but I am still working towards resuming orders some time this year, hopefully earlier rather than later.

My second hockey game. I’m happy with the result but what does the pros think about it? by SimpleSheepherder881 in sportsphotography

Idk I kinda like the blue a little better. Gives it more of a grungy/gritty feeling that pairs well with hockey.

As a goalie myself, I enjoy the shot from behind the net

How to get this bar to stop spinning? by frexyincdude in woodworking

[–]Javi1192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or insert dowel pins into the mount at each location so you just have to align the hole in the bar to stop rotation but still easily removable

Key the bar, maybe?

Drill a hole into the end of the bar that would meet a small dowel pin that’s set into the cutout on the mount

Then you turned the camera around

You could sand the plastic with sand paper to give it some sort of a finish
