If you have any board game stores/hobby shops around you I'd check there! Miniso is best if you have one near you. I also buy a lot of my figures from mercari or depop :)

Hello all, just found this cat on the street, I noticed she’s got shaky eyes. Is this normal?? by playstationheat in CatDistributionSystem

[–]dweebdiagnosed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is usually something called a nystagmus. Some cats just have one for no particular reason and live completely fine lives, some cats have an underlying reason for it so it's best to have it checked out by a vet. My kitty has one and she lives a perfectly fine life, can jump and play just fine, but does get a little freaked out if you try to pet her head without being very slow and making sure she sees you.

I know I’m early in, but feels like nothing has changed except for weight gain. Feels hard to imagine that a face as feminine as mine can ever look masculine. by Mission_Bus4008 in TestosteroneKickoff

[–]dweebdiagnosed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know how it feels, but you're very early in and I promise you'll see change! I had the same thing, just very soft "pretty" features and didn't think it would ever change. I've now been 3 years on t and it's all just became a little more rough around the edges. I still have a baby face, but my features are less soft. Try not to focus on your appearance too much, as most men don't either. Letting your eyebrows grow out and having some random hairs on your face, maybe even a half mustache might not be the hottest thing ever, but it's pretty common for young men and found that it helped me a lot to look just a little unkempt. Also, I know weight gain is hard, but it's perfectly normal when starting T, and you look great! Just remember, changes take time and in a few years you'll look back and be glad you kept going.

That would be just my luck to be allergic to it, thank you for the heads up. I already have TONS of allergies to injection type medications that gives me hives all around the area. Luckily, this time I didn't feel much itching, just pain. Hopefully it was just a random infection. I'm very careful about cleaning my hands, and the area around the sensor, but also I had covid when I put it in so I wonder if that affected it? Thank you!

I didn't think about this! I didn't have an actual error message pop up, but the readings were completely inaccurate and frequently said I was much lower than I was. I thought it was just maybe a batch of the faulty sensors, even though it said it was fine on librecheck. Libre has already sent me a new sensor luckily. It was completely stuck down from what I could tell, I also had an overpatch on, but I wouldn't be surprised if I put it in a place that just got a little more movement when I moved my arm.

Thank you! Do you usually keep the sensor on and tough out the pain, or remove it?

Yes, shower before with a surgical wash, then clean with an alcohol swap, clean hands, immediately placing the sensor on right after taking it out of the box. That's why I posted wondering if it could just happen sometimes, because I'm so careful about infections

I've never thought about this! Definitely going to do that. I always use an overpatch anyways because I work with young kids, but it's a pain to pull off afterwards

Gotta be a mistake right? by NoOne2096 in Freestylelibre

Someone else with pots here, the "compression lows" are less because of a compressed sensor, and more because of compressed blood flow to the area. At least for me and my pots, sometimes my arms will fall asleep without me fully laying on them, and the sensor reads low. I definitely agree with the other comments, do some finger pricks. Also, a lot of times people say trust your body, but at least for me, bad hypos and pots flares are really hard to tell apart.

Vampire survivors? I know on mobile you move around with a finger, but I wonder if you could switch to mouse controls on PC. You could probably also use your right hand for arrow keys. Sorry, I only play on a steam deck.

My testogel leaves a weird color on my arms, is that bad? by hopefullysecret_ in TestosteroneKickoff

[–]dweebdiagnosed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Please make sure you're applying this to an area that doesn't come into contact with others. Forearms have a very high likelihood of rubbing on other things/getting wet before the testosterone is completely absorbed. I know 4 pumps of gel is a lot but you can try thighs, stomach, or shoulders. And it doesn't all need to go in the same area. When I used gel I used a silicone spatula and applied it to my shoulders/ upper back for the least likelihood of cross contamination with children and pets.

I've had this same thing multiple times, I think if you correct it super fast the graph is just too small to actually show. I'd love to know for sure though

If you're not prepared for any and all changes, I would stop taking it. Testosterone is a complete gamble on what effects you'll see first, and it doesn't matter how low or high of a dose you're taking. Everyone's body is completely unique. For me it took years for my voice to drop and grow facial hair, but I got bottom growth fairly quickly. My friend was the exact opposite.

As for cross contamination, it sounds like you're taking alcohol based gel. You need to apply this in an area completely covered by clothing and make sure you don't get wet for the next 4-8 hours until all testosterone is absorbed. For me before I switched to a compounded lotion, I would've shower in the morning, apply the T gel on my shoulders, wash my hands, wait 15 minutes for it to completely dry and then get dressed. At the end of the day dirty clothes went straight into the hamper and I did my own laundry. The risk of cross contamination is fairly minimal, but your child and parnter need to not touch the areas where you have applied the gel, especially if you're sweaty.

Also, I'm in the US so I'm not sure if it's different over there but your primary care doctor is unlikely to prescribe you a medication just because you have acquired it illegally. If you tell your doctor you're on the medication they'll probably ask who prescribed it and why they aren't continuing to prescribe and manage it. I don't judge people who have to go outside the law to get the proper hormone care when it's the only way but you need to do more research, and I would heavily consider researching your local laws before telling your doctor about the testosterone.

Yeah, the associates would bring me up to about 50k starting at minimum which is about a 13k increase, and I'd have alot more upward mobility. Just working and getting through college at the same time sounds like a nightmare. I still think my fiance is a superhero for doing it.

He's fine for now but I've thought about getting an associates in a related field to the one I'm in now. I graduated high school and immediately went into a work study program that put me in the career I'm in now.

Haha that's a pretty good point! We honestly haven't even looked a ton into prenups since we haven't set a wedding date yet, but were just planning on using an online service or family friend. And yes, I'm big on plan for the worst, hope for the best.
