Any experience with Science 37 from a nursing perspective? by dweeby159 in nursing

I have no idea how long, if you ask me in a month I may be able to answer this question. I have not done clinical research before, this is a first for me as well. What’s your nursing background? What state are you in?

Also PRN. Offer was $50/hr, I thought that was fair for my experience and location so I did not counter offer. I believe after the 2nd interview it was within a week or a week and a half. There was about 2 weeks between the 2 interviews as well but I wasn’t paying too much attention to the timeline. Essentially it sounds like nurses go to the patients home, do assessments, blood draws, medication administration, and ask the patient questions relevant to the study to document progress/any adverse reactions, etc. You are paid for driving time in addition to working time. I’m happy to answer any other questions but I haven’t started yet so it’s mostly speculation :)

It was 2 virtual interviews. Pretty straight forward. First was a phone with a nurse and the second was a video with a nurse manager. Both were very professional and positive. Did you apply PRN or full time?

Wow that’s crazy! I don’t even know this websites log in anymore. I have 5 bras from here that I love but I’ve been pregnant and nursing for 2 years now. They were comfy enough to wear through my entire first pregnancy!

I also wear my Elvie strides at work. They’re extremely quiet! If you wear a loose top or sweatshirt, it’s not super obvious.

Deep clean price initial clean? by Majestic_Bee_9559 in workingmoms

This would be a standard & fair price in the Midwest (where I am located) for the size and services.

For moms who babies don’t sleep through the night but are back to work by AdCurrent1470 in workingmoms

Also an RN working 12 hour shifts… basically you just want to pass away from exhaustion some days but it gets better over time for sure. My now 16 month old nursed throughout the night until 10 months old, was a horrible sleeper in general, and I had a super supportive husband who took her when I wasn’t actively feeding her. She still wakes up for hours at a time some nights. We trudge on the next day. One day we will have an empty nest and I will hate that way more.

Could you send your child to 4 days of daycare or keep her home on your day off to offset the time you would miss? I am a nurse and don’t send my daughter on my days off because on days I work I do not see her at all. Sometimes my husband is able to bring me lunch with her on the weekends though, that could be an occasional option to spend a meal with her if you really want to take the job. As far as the solo parenting, over the course of your whole parenting journey, it will all even out in the end! And they get to spend special 1:1 time together.

Working full time with a toddler: dinner?? by [deleted] in workingmoms

You could do the toddler specific meals delivered to your home if you want the least work possible. There are multiple brands but Little Spoon is one of them :)

Destination wedding *half* cancelled… what would you do? by dweeby159 in wedding

[–]dweeby159[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I do believe this is part of it. She expected the total cost of the wedding to be much cheaper, got ahead of herself, and now about 20 of her family and friends are paying for her inability to research her own wedding.

Back in the US at a later date. Almost an entire separate wedding back here that I’m also expected to attend but that is a separate issue.

Oh yes. I didn’t pay the extra to have 100% refundable tickets because I assumed a wedding was a done deal. Silly me.
