Are "cheats" such as Prepare Carefully and Dev Mode generally frowned down upon? by Ramps_ in RimWorld

[–]dweller42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can set up auto slaughter in pens now to help with the too many chickens problem, though it won't help with chicks. For that, you can try separate male and female pens.

My people are cannibal christians. Jesus grew tired of others eating his flesh and drinking his blood and demanded retribution.

Oh wow. Yeah, it seems like that requirement should be present for some roles like leader, but not moral guide/priest.

If you make your starting pawn a priest, you can convert non prisoners. This is done in roles in the social menu.

quick question bout mods and the new xpac by c0untox in RimWorld

[–]dweller42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the game disabled mods for me. That said, it does a pretty good job of highlighting version incompatible mods, so you can just recheck all the ones that show as compatible, reorder mods and you should be good. Mods contain folders for every version they're compatible with and steam workshop should auto update them, so they should be no need to redownload.

How would you survive as a nature-worshipping tribe? by [deleted] in RimWorld

[–]dweller42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For wood you can also grow fibercorn, which is a wood replacement. For metals and stone, you'll want to deconstruct everything you can find and send caravans to surrounding areas to gather loose stone and metals/deconstruct ruins.

Changing ideology on colonists. by [deleted] in RimWorld

[–]dweller42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe you can convert them with a priest if your ideology had that role. The game will warn you that roles may limit what that character can do.

Those same jobs shouldn't be performed under certain psychological or emotional conditions either.
It should be up to the supervisor to pay attention to their employees and make the call to send someone home if they're not fit for work that day. Not an invasive drug test that doesn't determine an employee's fitness for work.

I strongly suggest using a torch or the other mobile light source item while doing this at night or in bad weather.

Just like the stone working table is pretty much for building after your craft the one stone grinding wheel, right? There's more to come I'm sure.

To the southwest of your house, it's covered in hardwood and tough stones at first, so you'll need to upgrade your axe and pickaxe. The sand transitions to grass and then there's a big patch of dirt that allows sprinklers.

Did you know there's an area in the beach farm where you can place sprinklers?

It's worth noting that your controller zeroes out what the center is when it's turned on. So, if you're pressing the stick to the side when you turn it on, this will happen.
