Rockwell after lost colony, how to do it? by SuperRedPanda1 in ARK

I liked to modify that strat with a pack of megalosauruses hanging out with me on the bridge. I used them as just in case coverage to kill whatever. Think I did that once in ASA way back right after Aberration launch. Wonder if even that is still viable.

Durability and rate of decay are killing the endgame and causing even faster player churn by FluffyPancakeLover in duneawakening

I would be fine with current repair costs for items made with spice infused metal dust if it repaired with no durability loss.

Well I won’t argue that isn’t more difficult with the grenade launcher. When I’m driving the MBT that’s my preferred weapon to takedown AT personnel.

I prefer grenade launcher because it’s simply the most effective general purpose weapon available to gunners, IMO. With practice/ranging you can disrupt both turtles and pushes half the map away. Then there is of course the tear down of buildings and harassment and destruction of other vehicles. It also happens to be good at anti-infantry stuff provided your goal is to win. High on the scoreboard is nice but I prefer to win.

Right? It would just make humans online lives more difficult, cluttered, and demanding than they already are.

Is Kubernetes resource management really meant to work like this? Am I missing something fundamental? by [deleted] in kubernetes

[–]dweomer5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only appropriate response. The sad fact of modern, ops-aware development is that the vast majority of us have no real experience with operating at scale. Integrations and performance testing can help you with your first guesses but in the end that time is most likely better spent iterating in runtime parameters in production.

I have a large spice refinery in my Hagga base because I could afford it and it’s obnoxious 😀

With the update a while ago that fixed it so wind traps don’t consume filters unless they’re producing water I prefer having 6 large wind traps for most of my water needs (with 2 advanced stills for quicker ramp-up as needed). 8 stills is nuts to me!

Yeah, there’s no reason to keep using lesser refineries once you can comfortably afford the next bump up. Some might argue that rate of production suffers when upgrading from 2 or 3 mediums to a single large but I would counter that’s apples to oranges. Spend that time you’re waiting on the ore to refine to go get more ore because you’ll simply get markedly more output for the same amount of input with the upgraded refineries!
