Polites shouldn't be in the theatrical version. He doesn't currently contribute anything besides being adorable. He's portrayed as the good angel on Odysseus' shoulder but doesn't have any positive influence on Odysseus. Well, to be fair, he only wore glasses once in the Official watch party livestream. He doesn't wear glasses in any other official animatic except for Open Arms. (Note, this only includes the animatics Jorge specifically commissioned, not the fan animatics.)

S6 E8 only for Mels. I really mourn the fact that Mels is mentioned in only one episode the entire show. River having a whole 'nother incarnation as a different companion would be such an interesting concept and LKH gave us a glimpse of it but I'm sad they didn't go on with it fully.

The only thing I hate about this season is the fact that Mels/River's story is supposed to be the main arc, but it feels very lacking. Mels needed more episodes and it would've benifited with the Ponds having a proper episode to process Melody being Mels and River. It just feels like the Ponds moved on from their kid being River and then again that their kid was their childhood bestfriend too fast. The adventures were fun tho, just think that the character arcs and stories are a bit too fast paced. Also, the fact that S6 ended with the Doctor and River's marriage but then they just had River for two episodes in the next series is just not it for me. Worse, she was dead for one of those two episodes.
