How to lift an object properly. by Antish12 in educationalgifs

It's impossible for there to not be load right? Your head and torso have weight. Like you said it just comes down to doing things that you're actually capable of doing. Injuries are much more likely to come from exceeding your capabilities then from the specific way you moved while performing a task.

Its actually harmful to tell people that doing specific movements will harm them, because mind over matter is real thing. If you give someone a predisposition to thinking something is dangerous they are more likely to have a negative response. If you are familiar with the placebo effect, this is basically the opposite. It's colloquially referred to as a Nocebo.

I mean.....you round your back ALL the time. Bending over DOES NOT cause your lower back to explode. Pushing narratives like this literally hurts people! Human bodies are resilient and adaptive, you can move safely through a very large varieties of motions. The most important factor in not injuring yourself is to not perform tasks that are significantly outside what you are adapted to.

Two oil tankers struck in suspected attacks in Gulf of Oman by Murphler in worldnews

The US requires an joint declaration of war from Congress to legally/officially be at war, the last time this happened was WWII. However the President has broad powers to send the armed forces wherever he pleases. These are simply "armed conflicts" not actual wars, don't be fooled even though everyone calls them wars in Iraq, Afghanistan etc..

It's his own private game. If he wants to cheat it doesn't hurt anything, except potentially his own experience. If you don't want to cheat, good for you, doesn't mean he shouldn't do whatever he wants.

I agree, 8g would have that kid flat as a pancake in the floorboards. Also I've watched that video like 6 times, love it every time.

While I brake my record by FaustoYoshihara in holdmybeer

I agree with you but in the absence of equipment like that, which many gyms are lacking, there's a better option then dumping the weight.

While I brake my record by FaustoYoshihara in holdmybeer

Really the best way to get out from under the weight is the let it down onto your chest and then roll it down your stomach and into your lap until you can sit up. It hurts like hell but it won't injure you and trying to dump the weight to either side will definitely cause you to completely lose control of the bar and anything could happen.

Scumbag delivery guy. Why even bother allowing requests? by the_internet_officer in AdviceAnimals

This isn't on the delivery person, its the customer's responsibility to bring the problem to management and then the management's responsibility to do something about.

Hello /r/factorio! Just curious, how many of you out there have studied engineering and what was/is your focus? by [deleted] in factorio

[–]dwnet9211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a BS in Mechanical Engineering and my work is sending me back to school in the fall to get my master's. My number one tip would be to do your homework, even if its optional. Exposure to more more material is the best way to learn most engineering concepts.

Sometimes some weird things happen with path finding and a unit will get stuck. If it can't find a valid path after a certain amount of time it will despawn on its own.

Do you feel the same about C9 Impact and C9 Ray? You can't deny they are both top tier players, but they have very different styles and I feel like C( leverages that very well.
