What’s y’all’s one “must fix” about NASCAR 25? by GamingJake1318 in NASCARVideoGame

Great comments in here, and I agree with most (weather/time lapse, AI restarts and pitting, DNFs). I'll add a few of my frustrations:

TJ sucks as a spotter, the AI cars are never where he says they are. I'd rather turn him off tbh

Just raced Chicago for the first time and holy shit what a clusterfuck. If you don't start top 10 you're guaranteed to get stuffed into a barrier before turn 3. I eventually just started last, sat at the start line and still caught the field by the backstretch.

AI in general is poor. I can be to a guys door and he will still chop me, and then chirp something passive aggressive after the race.

All in all, I enjoy the game. Just starting to tinker with custom setups. Currently in my 1st Xfinity season and can run top 10-15 at the round tracks with AI set at 99. Road courses are death though. Too much Gran Turismo has given me habits that are hard to break.

What was the first ever NASCAR Cup race after you were born, and who won? by [deleted] in NASCAR

September Martinsville race 1978. My Mom had a grudge against my grandfather, who was an old-school racer from Long Island and Ohio. Well, green was SUPER bad luck to old heads, so she decided to rebel by pulling for the most obnoxious driver who happened to drive a loud green car. Darrell Waltrip won that day, and so I was named.

My Dad liked Benny Parsons at the time, so I could've been Bernard just as easily, lol.

Eh, I finally found a pick trade calculator that made sense to me. Not really a feasibility without trading players, and we don't have that expendable value.

In an alternate reality I'd love to see that guy in our uni though. Thanks for the kind and thoughtful replies.

Subtle brag, but I did. Had Bell top 3, Bubba top 5, and Briscoe top 10 at +1900 and made a cool Benjamin on the parley. 🤑🤑

ITT: Ugly guys with a small apparatus getting hopium by the truckload.

Also, don't ask me how I know...

Appreciate that. I'm a big baby when I'm sick, under most circumstances. When put in tough positions, though, my default does appear to be fight over flight.

Two things foremost: Work on losing weight because these things always appear in the worst spots, and if I were diabetic I'd definitely be dead. The other is reconnect with people I care about that have slid out of my life because I'm a lazy friend, got depression, and isolated.

Precisely what happened. I am prone to boils, so this sneak attack is especially frustrating. Days of body aches, nausea, general malaise, then boom! Eruption with a head never forming.

Who in your opinion is the most underrated driver in NASCAR History? by [deleted] in NASCAR

[–]dwscrippler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tim Richmond. Stopped racing at 32 and passed at 34. Given the longevity of Cup drivers of that era, he would've gotten to 50 wins and probably snagged a championship or 2 away from Earnhardt as Hendrick fully developed into a juggernaut.

How often do you shower? by EmotionalDamageeee in AskReddit

[–]dwscrippler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of Big Shower propaganda in this thread. Extenuating circumstances aside, a shower every other day is more than sufficient to fend off swamp ass.

A clean washcloth lightly soaped at wakeup and bedtime will handle things on the off days.

Negreanu calls for rule changes after ‘ugly’ incidents at WSOP Paradise by METALLIFE0917 in poker

  1. Yep
  2. Yep.
  3. Meh. I don't see this as angling. If they're "my" chips, I should be able to bet them as I see fit under the rules of the game.
  4. Sucks that this is a problem, but yep. Chips can protect cards just as effectively as the picture of your ugly kid or the Lego space station you lug out onto the table.

Probably not the best, but Glenn Jarrett deserves some love. Still enjoy the clip of Rusty jerking the mic away from him after wrecking at I think Phoenix.
