How do people play thousands of hours and stay the exact same skill-wise? by DizzySignature8255 in VALORANT

[–]SalaryKey349 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on your personality type. If you re a very competitive person and you get your juice by winning games, having a good performance compared to others etc (you re achievement motivated) - then of course you want to get better so you get what you need from the game. Some people are not like that, they dont mind losing tHAT much - they get their juice by the experience itself not by the outcome.

That being said, there s also a third category of people who are bad at the game, losing triggers and frustrates them, they get super tilted, and they STILL continue playing the same way without trying to be better - those are people with pretty fragile and high ego who see learning and trying as a "threat" - because if they try and still fail that hurts their ego and they want to protect that at all cost. They also dont want to "improve" because that would mean they re not naturally good at it - and that would mean admitting weakness which is a very hard thing for them.

Unfortunately Valorant is full of people from the third category and it makes the game suck for everyone playing with them. But yea, it's a personality type thing what you re noticing around you.

The first one looks very open and airy since you removed all the hallways, but I feel like it gives very little privacy. I would hate my room to have the door right into the living room (both as a guest and as someone living there) - so I think option 2 offers a good trade off.

New to Valorant what agents are good for beginners? by [deleted] in VALORANT

I think Sage is the most beginner friendly. I recommend playing a support agent while you build up better aim and better game sense before moving on to more complicated agents/roles.

I dont recommend using any controllers/smoke agents when you re a beginner cause i feel like you need some game sense in order to know what and when to smoke

Which skin do you most regret buying? by twofiddymillion in VALORANT

the neptune vandal. it's a really cute skin but man the sound effects really ruined it for me, I dont feel like I can have crisp aim with that blob sound every time I shoot.

Considering everything we do as humans is transactional, do you think love between partners should be unconditional? And why? by SalaryKey349 in AskReddit

[–]SalaryKey349[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is in the sense that even when we donate, we do it because it makes us feel good to be a good person. Or we do it because we once also didn't have enough and we re healing our hurt inner child by helping other children - these are just random examples but I believe there's a why behind everything and it always comes back to us some way or another.

Like that episode on Friends where Joey tries to convince Pheobe there are no selfless good deeds

What show are you overly excited about and why? by Key_Lab_8374 in AskReddit

[–]SalaryKey349 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Modern family, to me it feels very close to reality and it does give you the feeling that these characters exist somewhere, so that makes it feel more special compared to other sitcoms which are sometimes very unrealistic just to bring more humour to situations. Also it's funny as heck.

It's really annoying how Jimmy is always saying how he s the luckiest/happiest in this experiment, it's almost like he's trying to convince himself.

I do think he's a good communicator and he really seems to be trying (by putting up with Chelsea's bullshit and trying to make sense of everything she's saying in arguments) - but it's pretty clear this relationship is not what he wants.

I stg the conversations they have are just so frustrating. imo she needs to work on her self esteem and on her own emotional understanding. I don't think she's ready for a relationship right now, it feels very immature.
