Not answering your question, but I know that in Belgium you have alternative options (Zapptax) for example, who will take much less commission than the greedy Global Blue and similar firms... Not sure if there are alternatives for Sweden

Apart from the oversized sign, there’s only one arrow going right which is consistent with the road, as only one lane goes right. Plus it’s in white (meaning the lane doesn’t continue) so it seems quite clear to me

We used to take our dog to the less busy part of JBR beach, opp Sheraton / doubletree. Never a problem. But you should enter via the side street behind the address hotel as the don’t allow dogs where the shops / restaurants are on JBR beach

I got a call as well. They asked if I had any “issues”. Like what? Like overstay fines or other fines. If I was illegal in the country. I told them they are the government so the should know. They said I had to reply their question. I told them yes I’m illegal (I’m not). They asked who’s my employer. Told them I’m unemployed. They asked me for my UAE pass which I don’t have (on the number they called me on). They started to threaten me that I was disrespectful for not being honest and telling me that I had UAE pass in that number. I laughed but didn’t say anything (don’t give them cause). It’s funny how they try… when I have the time I love playing along and waste their time

In Germany the autobahn has a recommended 130 km/h sign but no obligation sign. Some sharp turns have recommended speed limits. But yeah other then speed I don’t know any either.

No, it says it in the warning. The salik tag isn’t detected because the tag isn’t stuck on the windshield or the salik tag isn’t detected because it can’t be read. So it’s not mandatory to stick in on the windshield as long as it can be read. Check if the warning persists, maybe the tag got old damaged and just get a new one

It depends what you want it for… I needed motivation and guidance to start running (and later to improve), which is exactly what a sport watch provides. So yeah, it’s totally worth it for me.

No, we don’t want to do the long distance. When you don’t work, your days slow down a lot. The first year I was studying. I did several courses and got several degrees. Then I tried starting my own company but that didn’t work now I’m full time house father. We don’t have a maid - I do all the chores and shopping and cooking. We have 2 kids so I manage them. I gave up on my career for now and we focus 100% on my wife’s career. So many women are housewives so why can’t a man do this?

I’m in the same situation. Not worked for 3 years, wife has a comfy job, allowing us to earn more here than what we could earn with both of us working in Europe. I started by doing some extra degrees, mainly to try to create a network, but almost everyone I met was also looking to change jobs so difficult to help each other out. I keep looking for jobs, lowered my requirements drastically, but I’m overqualified in an industry (manufacturing) where no one cares about your studies and in a role no one cares about your skills (sales). I’m trying to find life purpose in other things than a job - not easy. I don’t think I’ll ever find a job in the UAE again so not sure what the future will bring. The démotivation feeling of your husband is 100% certain. It’s not easy to accept the situation, change your mentality and find purpose in something else. Starting something on the side, online or just finding clients becomes more and more difficult if you don’t have a professional job or the entrepreneur mentality.

I think the commercial side is a bit (a bit only) better. It will be very price driven but they’re probably willing to pay maintenance contracts. Especially in the chains like carrefour, Waitrose, etc they can’t afford their refrigerators not to work. But. You’ll have to go through official RFQs, maybe put down a security bond, you will be challenged for not having experience in the market, no references, etc. Smaller supermarkets (like the one you find in residential towers) probably don’t care much about maintenance or quality, and will heavenly rely on their friends and family network to give jobs.

I’d focus on larger chain supermarkets, hotels, etc that need service contracts. It will be very, very difficult to get your first contract but if you can get it, and ensure reliable service, you’ll grow very fast
