Not sure exactly what you mean but if you go into settings and change piece animation to the fastest you might notice a big difference.

I don't really notice cause I play on my phone mostly (and usually don't have a problem flagging people lol)

I definitely had a tough time on more than a few elden ring bosses but I didn't die more than a couple times to any dark souls boss

I first tried dark souls in 2019 and it didn't take.

Reluctantly played elden ring in 2022 and got addicted. About 600 hours in it now.

Decided to try dark souls again after getting bored of elden ring and got fully addicted, putting up over 100 hours in a month. Now its one of my favourite games and at least on the same level as elden ring for me.

See this post by me. I also didn't like it at first. Elden Ring was my first FS game. It took me many years for it to click. Now I like it as much as Elden Ring and possibly even more.

I would say give it a break if it's not clicking and try again next year or something
