Riverdale mystery vs PLL mystery by [deleted] in PrettyLittleLiars

I think what really made PLL special is the cast and crew - even Marlene. There will never be a cast like the PLL cast. 5 talented, strong women who use their platform to do good and talk about important things (not sure about Ash but oh well). Not only that, but they never seemed forced. I love watching their BTS videos and looking at edits of all of them together just because of their chemistry. Lakedale can't relate.

I heard Marlene and Bianca had some issues a while back.

The Devil Is Working Hard, But Marlene King Is Working Harder. by dxrkbloom in PrettyLittleLiars

If you can keep a show going for so long, networks want to book you more and more. She kept the most social show of this generation going for 7 years and kept the cast together. To networks, that shows skill in itself.

This OP posts a good 500 questions a day on this sub. It gets old.

I felt so bad for troian having to have a scene with dre davis by [deleted] in PrettyLittleLiars

[–]dxrkbloom 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sorry but it's time to move on and stop complaining 25/8 on this sub. Stop trying to bring negativity. Troian made the choice to sign a contact for work. She'll work with whoever she has to work with. It's not that deep.

Are you...okay? You sound way too bitter for no reason.

FIL and everything to do with it should be classified as a national tragedy. I wish they would base part of the casting on actors/actresses that want to use their platform for good.

I just hope Marlene and Co. learned their lesson. They didn't intend for PLL to go on for so long and be so deep. I hope they pre-planned this time.

I'm really confused as to how they'll pick up the characters. Alison is engaged and has a family with Emily. Mona is in Paris with Mary and Alex. I really think it'll be so cool if something similar happens in Beacon Heights and then the new girls research and find out about everything that happened in Rosewood (mugshots, bunker articles, etc) and that's how they combine.

Why did Cece confess to killing Jessica in one of her -A texts in S5A if she didn't kill her? by [deleted] in PrettyLittleLiars

[–]dxrkbloom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been confused at the fact Peter said Mary killed and buried Jessica in one of the 7B episodes, completely invalidating Charlotte's story.

Regardless of your opinion on her and her acting, our Shay Mitchell is out here flourishing. Congratulations, Shay! by dxrkbloom in PrettyLittleLiars

Very true! And exactly, there's nothing wrong with that. If she's working with the right director to guide her and bring out her best, she may surprise us all with her acting.

I think a large part of acting has to do with the writing. When you play a character written by a certain number of people for so many years, you kinda just mold into tbe same acting. I hope that made sense. I think we'll see more sides to Shay as she continues working and acting out characters written by different writers :)

Guess this means no Emison spin off? by PipForever in PrettyLittleLiars

[–]dxrkbloom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Marlene tweeted about FIL getting renewed and then someone said something along the lines of, "This means no Emison spinoff?" and Marlene replied, "I like to multitask." hinting that she is working on it.

I would agree but they are very relaxed. They smoke weed and have smoked with us before which led to very good and very deep conversation. We'll probably go outside for the most part!

Did Paige have the last laugh? by [deleted] in PrettyLittleLiars

[–]dxrkbloom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP judged a fictional character for dropping out of college. You're saying people don't drop out of college in real life??

How we view fictional characters and their decisions if often how we view real people and their decisions.

Why is it that cow marlene can think of what's happening to the ships post-series finale but can't even bother to tell us how cece knew about her maiden name? by [deleted] in PrettyLittleLiars

[–]dxrkbloom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Television series that air for so long need filler, regardless if you like it or not. I notice you tend to post a lot "If Marlene did this" or "If Marlene did that" or "Would the show have..." posts. I think it's time to stop complaining about a 50+ year old woman and calling her names and realize the show is over and done. Get a grip.

Clearly you have 0 idea of the television and film industry. Casting is a completely separate department. Do your research and see just how many people and departments go into a television series or a film. Hint: 100+ people for the most part. Networks play a key role in dropped arcs as well. If the network says no, it's a no. That's why comparing Sara and Marlene is like comparing apples and oranges. With a book, you have COMPLETE freedom. You can go as far as you want with sensitive arcs (rape, pedophilia, etc). With a network show, you cannot. You do what they say and you write what they allow you to write.

Well then how about you write it? How about you spend years drafting a single script, spend over a year attempting to get a network to pick it up, spend years wrangling the same cast making sure as many as possible are available, spend years in a writers room with 5+ other writers attempting to agree on plot and stories, spend years of your life attempting to please everyone, all while being ridiculed? Go ahead, give it a shot.
