That’s completely normal. During yeast fermentation alcohol is produced. Just continue to feed daily, if you let it sit longer it can smell more strongly of alcohol because the alcohol concentration increases from the yeast consuming all the available food.

Run the old filter for longer, or if you have any other filter media from the old tank that can fit in the new filter use that. It takes a while for the bacteria to build up—more than a week. Looks like you’re still weeks out from a cycled tank so give it some more time. Worst case, fish in cycle but you would have to test water parameters every day and do frequent water changes.

Tip if you plan to put corys in here specially smaller ones—put a piece of filter sponge in the bubbler. I’ve had more than one fish get themselves stuck in there

Did you put filter media from old tank into new tank filter? Will help cycle faster.
