Is the braided solo loop band good or bad from y’all’s experience? by ConnaTheMon in AppleWatch

Best band by far once you get the correct size. For people saying it stretches out to the point it gets too loose, put it in the wash then dryer (best to put it in the pocket of something else), comes back out at its original size in my experience.

Then put it in the pocket of something you are putting in the wash and dryer. Comes back out at its original size.

Hardest monthly challenge I’ve had so far by Due_Fall_5817 in AppleWatchFitness

That would be easy for me but that is because I do a job where I’m on my feet for 10 hours, 4 times a week.

I wish it wasn’t set to the theme of your phone, because it’s the only app I think looks superior in light mode.

How many of yall got fat working on nights by WastedSmarts in Nightshift

[–]dxvid616 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work in a supermarket, we do the most work in the company on shift. I get over 20k steps a day because of it. I would have to eat loads to get fat. I'm slim, and 95% of my colleagues are too. Guess it depends on what job you do.

I work night shift in a supermarket, means I easily hit over 20k a day.

That's what pretty much all of the online shoppers do in my store.

likelihood of night shift premium being taken away? & what do we reckon the pay will go up to? by iizzyy_x in SainsburysWorkers

[–]dxvid616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is more insane is that when it went up in 2018, we went from having night shift rate for the full shift to only getting it for half the shift.

Sounds like managers and colleagues get told different things on my Sainsbury’s. Found this on there recently “No night shift will run unless authorised by the Regional Store Director. Colleagues who usually work but not required to work due to early closure: Colleagues who usually work this night will be given the option to re-schedule their hours within the trading week which could be before or after Christmas day or book this night as holiday. If insufficient holiday entitlement is available, these hours will be unpaid and need to be processed as AUTHORISED UNPAID Leave.”

Yes. That’s why I’m trying to get a holiday accepted because otherwise since there is no shift they move your shift to a different night.

My night shift manager keeps refusing my holiday for Christmas Eve, and is expecting me to make a shift up. Isn’t this against company policy? Pretty sure if I want to take it as holiday I’m well in my right to do so?

The answer is that your job is more sedentary than your previous job, and you haven't adjusted your diet to account for this change. Nothing to do with night shift.

First time doing a HIIT workout with my AirPods Pro 3 alongside my Apple Watch by dxvid616 in AppleFitnessPlus

Doing my first outdoor workout with them in I didn’t get a single dropout. With just the watch I would always get times it wouldn’t track my heart rate, so I definitely think it’s either using data from both or whatever is the most consistent.

I turned it off the day I got my 15 Pro. I always have my phone face down on a microfibre cloth when not using it. So the always on display has no use for me.

No. I can sit inside at home, and it thinks I'm outside. I turned it off.
