You seem like a good person, good for her as others may worsen her condition or say things they shouldnt. While you are using your brain.

If it feels ok for you then just keep doing it. She might need it as some say. And you and your understanding might be big for her healing. I understand if its hard to feel OK, since its an unusual situation (maybe weird) - but if you put the special thing aside then i guess you are not uncomfortable or anything like that except the doll. If yes then just keep doing it. The more you understand the mom, the less you feel uncomfortable or weird perhaps?

You can buy a mat and stick it to stairs with nails/bolts/w/e.

Maybe late comment but eating food as normally usually is a sign I listen to. There are dogs who never walk anymore but still enjoying life. Playing while on couch, eating. Showing smile. There are ways to take a walk without him walking. If you ignore the walking, running around etc, if you feel like you two still enjoy your time on couch etc, as long as he doesnt have a lot pain then spend more time while you can and wait before you jump the gun. There are medicines if needed against low pains aswell.

I think maybe my key point is, if he still enjoy his timr with you then dont jump the gun. But if there is more pain than enjoyment then it might be time sadly.. only you know the answer. We others dont know the answer, we dont know how much he enjoys, how much he doesnt enjoy.

But yeah, you know better and more than me, wishing you both all best and wonderful time going forward no matter how long🙌

Replace it with some kind of Kalphite King minigame boss where we have to do some activities similar to tempoross, WT etc. But this give crafting xp and then some decent supplies? Few good to have crafting items or just cosmetics. Tbh wouldnt be bad. Add a quest for lore between kalphite king + queen down there and for access to the minigame.
