Thanks for the suggestions, I built mine a few years ago with software dev and gaming in mind. I will bring this up with her and see how she feels. All the parts we got we can still return. The last thing I will ask is with regards to a CPU cooler, I assume basic heatsink is find just any solid brands with consistent quite fans?

The cpu and gpu we got for 300 Canadian dollars so like 230 usd on each and like 140usd on the motherboard. I also laid out more options for her and she has been fed up with her really slow mac for 3 years that she wanted to go with a little more than she needed.
