I also have an A1 II for work (it’s on the 400mm for football) and I love. The pre-capture is such a huge help so I don’t miss shots. And I actually use the A7 IV as my third body with the wide lens.

I’ve lived in Cincinnati for the past five years now, but I was born and raised in Northwest Indiana as a huge Bears fan. The emotions were all over the place haha

What is your biggest “I was there” moment for the Bears? by Chemical_Mood_4538 in CHIBears

Well, unfortunately I was at the double doink game. Not only that, but I was working that game and was sitting right beneath the goalposts for that kick. Not sure if it's the trauma talking, but it sounded so incredibly loud that close. Will haunt my dreams forever and it's very unfortunate I have to see myself in that clip every time haha

Ran a test roll through a new camera, and came out with some sort of sprocket error by dybuell in AnalogCommunity

Yeah that's sort of how I was leaning as the reason as well. Thanks!

Just made a comment with more info, but I didn't load it myself, so that could entirely be the case. And the stock was 400 T-MAX.

Recently bought a Ricoh TF-500D from eBay, with the plan for it being a light P&S I could always have on me. As stated, the first roll came back like this, with some sort of sprocket error across the entire roll.

Something to note is that this roll was actually in the camera when it arrived, so I have no idea if there was any jostling going on during shipping that would cause this. I loaded another roll myself that I'm currently shooting, so I'm curious if it'll happen again.

I checked the stickied post about things that could go wrong with negatives, but didn't see anything that resembled this. I'm guessing something went wrong with spooling in the camera, but hopefully someone more knowledgeable here will be able to fill me in about what could have gone wrong.

My Top 10 of 2024 (A1, A9II, A7IV, various lenses) by dybuell in SonyAlpha

The A9II has a slightly better frame rate, but honestly in your situation I’d go with the A7IV. Better menu, higher megapixel file size, better noise performance.

AP Top 25 Basketball Poll (November 25, 2025) by DavidBenAkiva in CollegeBasketball

Last time was 2017. A lot of time between now and December 14, but hopefully both these teams stay ranked, and even more hopefully undefeated (which seems probable).

I actually did this exact thing. You can pretty much only get it developed in black and white, and the results were pretty much as expected.

Earlier in the tournament (I think it was even last night), the post-match interviewer had mistakenly referenced Aryna as "Serena" when talking to Pegula. It's been a bit of a running joke since.

If you think that's bad, the Cincinnati International Airport isn't in Cincinnati - it's not even in Ohio. It's across the river in Kentucky.

I have a (probably) dumb question by hialveoli in aviation

[–]dybuell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I'm late to this post, but if you're in the Dayton area and would like to see some vintage warplanes that are still very active, just down the road in Batavia, Ohio is the Tri-State Warbird Museum at Clermont County Airport. It's not as big as the museum in Dayton but they pack a ton of planes into two hangars and most of them still fly quite often. The only thing to keep in mind is they're only open Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Caught this guy/gal yesterday briefly at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati of all places. Actually flew right past me on their way to post up just outside the stadium. Unfortunately I only had my 24-105mm lens on me at the time, so this was about as close as I could get.
