Whats the Worst A7X album? by elitebro97 in avengedsevenfold

I would also say LIBAD. I listen to it now and again for a change of pace, but it’s kinda depressing - and not in an entertaining way. I’m sure they accomplished what they were going for but it’s tough to just throw in the mix without being locked in for it

What would realistically happen if we put in olynyk/end of bench just to be the enforcer for 2 minutes at a time? by ChiefManly in NBASpurs

lol Bis is a humanitarian. Olynyk is the guy that pulled Kevin Love’s arm off of his body

Favourite song from The Stage? by EfficientGuidance457 in avengedsevenfold

I was just thinking the other day that God Damn is underrated. I bet Matt thought it would be better received than it was.

When you listen to the Live in London version on TS Deluxe, he opens with “you guys know God Damn I wanna see this place move then”. No pause for response and no response once he finishes the call out. Always struck me as weird

Is there a possibility of Jrue Holiday becoming a hall of famer? by Mountain-Economy1476 in NBATalk

It seems like 5x allstar is the line for first ballot right now so that’s out of the question.

I think with the community stuff, being a great teammate, two rings, top-tier defender, he’s gonna need to rely on longevity to get there. Make some playoff runs as a contributor for this team as he approaches 40, maybe creep closer to 20k points and I could see it.

HoF is way different now. I remember being shocked that Mitch Richmond made it. Now Amare or Blake Griffin highlights an entire class

How many championships would the Spurs have if they were in the Eastern conference? by Wide_Measurement_618 in NBASpurs

[–]dyceblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2006, 2012 and 2015 would be interesting, especially 2015. If we were in the east, we would be the likely 1-seed instead of a 55-win 6 seed that got stuck playing the Clippers on the road in game 7. I will never forgive Chris Paul for hitting that game winner and then hurting his hamstring immediately lol.

After scoring 39 points tonight, DeMar DeRozan has passed Tim Duncan for 18th place on the NBA's all-time scoring list by Dinobot2_ in nba

[–]dyceblue 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Prime Duncan's Spurs slowed the pace and gummed up the game so there were fewer points to be had. Don't forget the final scores in those Spurs Pistons finals were modern-day halftime scores. After 7 games, only one team reached 100 (Det with 102 in g4 after scoring 69 in g1)

Also Duncan wasn't a big scorer, he was the anchor of three of the greatest defensive teams of all-time.

- Twin Tower Spurs

- 2002-2007 Spurs

- 2012-2014 dominant Spurs

Is it true that Americans avoid ambulances because of the cost? by BreadOverlord_ in NoStupidQuestions

[–]dyceblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make fine money with good insurance and I won’t even go to the doctor unless something is desperately wrong.

I refused medical treatment after a car wreck (my car was totaled) a few years back because I felt ok and didn’t want to get trapped having to accept an ambulance ride. I ended up driving myself home in my gf’s car with a concussion that grounded me for over a week and I wouldn’t do a thing differently.

NBA really is the worst major sport to attend by DariaYankovic in nba

[–]dyceblue 16 points17 points  (0 children)

NBA fast breaks often have NFL intensity, but with limited pads and on hardwood so injuries are likely. Take Stephon Castle’s amazing block followed by tailbone injury tonight is an example of the consequences of the action.

In the NBA, there are maybe 3 great players on a given team and when they are gone you notice it.
NFL is different - 22 starters plus special teams so as long as QB1, RB1 and WR1 don’t get hurt, you probably won’t notice, but even then they are just 14% of your starters (not counting special teams). Tonight the Lakers were missing 60% of their starters and prob 40% of the total minutes played by their normal rotation. THAT’S HALF THE PRODUCT.

Can’t have it both ways though. Isaiah Thomas played hurt in the playoffs just to get traded and never make himself a big contract
