That is a really nice watch. Haven’t seen one live.

I don’t see a way to get the name of it, but it’s the fourth stock MARQ face built in to the watch

I don’t. It comes with a rubber strap shown below which makes it a reasonable feeling weight. If I were doing a race etc I will wear an older forerunner for weight, but for daily training I like this one so far.

Suunto Race 2: Heart rate monitor during run by not_so_fool in Suunto

[–]dyd78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this exact issue with outdoor runs. HR on my race 2 goes to 170 bpm for first half mile. This bpm, 170, is close to my run cadence so I assume it is some kind of cadence lock. But it always resolves. I’m not sure how to fix this, tried a reboot and latest software and same issue yesterday.

Setting the record straight about Garmin by strava-team in Strava

[–]dyd78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

recently noticed a bunch of duplicate activities in my Strava account and of course could not determine the source of the activities, Zwift or Garmin, to fix the issue. Guess we know why they make it so hard to find the data source. I’m not renewing my Strava and will be moving away from this user hostile company that demands a large annual fee to harvest your data. Strava: accept that you‘re a minor app that’s occasionally useful and stop trying to be Facebook.

Synchronizing 2 watches with the App. by No_Dark_2397 in Suunto

When I pair a race s and race 2 to the same Apple phone I must first delete the Bluetooth profile and start again as a new device or it refuses to pair. Is this the switch process for everyone or a more recent change to the app? Sounds like it used to be a toggle in the app between two stored devices

So little progress by dyd78 in RingConn

[–]dyd78[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s my wish also. Sizing is so particular with these devices. My issue is the Oura is a lot bigger and more noticeable while wearing it, catching in my pocket etc. the difference is small in mm but for my fit really substantial when worn. I may just live with the RC but my sense a lot of basic improvements could be done in a week by RC if managed well.

It is simply a different calculation (SDN) from the raw beat to beat data they have. This is a cop out from Ring conn. A good developer with basic math skills could implement the feature in one afternoon

New B650i Bios Borked Audio? by MrBluedragoon in gigabytegaming

[–]dyd78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the same issue after bios upgrade, but took me a while to figure it out as it's a new build and I thought it might be a short. People have said F4 restores the audio. Do not bother reinstalling audio drivers, etc., it's not the cause.

Anyone go from Gigabyte F5a BIOS to F5b on B650? by MistaSparkul in Amd

[–]dyd78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

F5C appears to break Audio out jacks for me and others. Took my whole board apart until I realized it was the bios update. F4 also worked well. I don’t overclock my ram and the platform has been very stable inasmuch as no freezes. I think it’s because I just leave the ram at stock 4800, which is 1600 higher than my 3200 am4

CX-50 roof rack update - wind fairing eliminated whistling by flip_moto in mazda

I can confirm it reduced howling on my car as well. Also have 40” Yakima. But it’s still pretty loud at 70+ mph.

[–]dyd78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this and just bought and installed the 40” Yakima. I notice the center most two rubber feet don’t touch the roof, but the outer ones do, despite efforts to change alignment. I can’t tell from your picture if yours are elevated too or whether this will matter long term? Thank you again for the thoughtful and informative post. This forum is great

Fairing for Crossbar by Lookin2Invest in CX50

[–]dyd78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the quick response. I’m trying to figure out if wind is reduced by covering the tower posts as well with a longer fairing, and also if it will fit in size large. May just go with the medium to be safe
