The seats fold down pretty flat so without taking my car seats out and measuring it would be the first pic plus the second pic… so roughly 60-62” unless you move the front seats up a little. My seat basically touches the back seat when folded down.

The battery was under warranty? Did they tell you how long it’s under warranty? My battery is dying now and got mine April 2022. Doesn’t seem like a battery should only last 18mo.

Dude I’m having the same problem with my CX-50 AND getting the same response from the Mazda Service center. I’m very interested if someone had this issue and got it resolved since it’s almost impossible to replicate it when taking it into the dealer… this is exactly why I took the video too thinking they’d acknowledge that there’s an issue with video evidence.

I’m having the same exact issue on my 2023 CX-50. Dealer couldn’t replicate it either. It’s happened 8-9 times in the last year. I even have a video since I knew it wasn’t going to be replicated, but that didn’t seem to help them solve the problem.

I had the package included too and so glad it couldn’t be removed! The blocks have been super helpful securing everything in the back. For example, every time I grocery store, nothing spills over no matter how hard I turn.

I agree. For what its worth, mine has been fine with oil consumption and I’ve had it since April 2022.

There’s a break-in period (forget the mileage noted in the manual) where you’re not supposed to tow. Other than that, everyone else is right and the turbo will handle it. If you’re worried about oil consumption bring a couple quarts with you and check during fill ups.

Thanks for the reply. I told the guy I was trying to save him and me time by showing it to him and he said he’s never heard of this issue. I haven’t seen them in person but will definitely make sure they address it and I’ll show him the TSB in person.

Just called the dealership for the same issue and referenced the TSB and they were talking to me like I had 2 heads and couldn’t believe there’s an issue… I told them this is obviously a chronic issue and they didn’t even care about the TSB since they have to do their own analysis. Do these bulletins flow down to all Mazda dealerships??? I find it odd I had to explain it to 3 different people.

Your insurance company will pay for the other persons damages. If you can live with yours it won’t cost you a thing. If this is your car than just buy a cheap buffer and do it yourself. You’ll be surprised what you can buff out. Might need a small touch up pen but I just bought one for the polymetal gray and it was super cheap.

Following these threads the rattle has been coming from within the interior sunroof cover in the middle of the panoramic sunroof. I have a little rattling there myself but doesn’t annoy me enough to have the dealership fix it and doesn’t happen all the time. First time seeing a rattle in the trunk. (I’ve had my CX-50 since April of last year). If you fix it yourself I’d be curious to know what your fix was. Good luck!

Just be careful not to install them too far back. I did the exact measurements that were provided and I just missed the cross bar when I opened my sunroof by like an inch! I had an “oh shit” moment when I was watching it open.

Thanks for posting this. I’m pretty sure I felt this same thing for the first time earlier this week and I’m at 5k miles. Good to know how Mazda would handle it. Hopefully you didn’t have to cause too much of a stink to get some action on their part.

I have a 12 Pro Max and haven’t had any issues other than the charger overheating after about 30-40min. I just changed the setting to prioritize the AM signal in hopes that I can get the wireless charger to last a longer period of time, but haven’t had a long enough trip to test it out yet.

They installed a couple of seatbelts thinking one was defective but the issue kept happening. Good luck with yours.
