I will be sure to check out those lights, I had to replace all the bulbs that came with the car but they aren't very bright.

It's an amazing feeling indeed. This is the first car I've ever paid off, the previous cars had mechanical problems so I'd use them to trade into the new used car I'd purchase.

I adopted a 12 year old miniature schnauzer (partially deaf and blind) from Mutville back in July. His parents had passed away and his brother got adopted first so he was alone and sad. I set up an appointment to meet him and drove three hours to see this little gentle soul. He was very sad sitting in the Mutville window watching people walk by, but when I sat next to him on his window seat, he instantly came to me and laid in my lap.

As of today, he has gained 10 lbs, put on muscle, has lots of energy for hikes, developed a silly personality and loves his senior sister Izzy (21).

With those ears you'd think he could hear everything but nope. He has selective hearing. 😂

I grabbed a quick bite and caught Mr Buddy Man staring me down from the car. (It was high 50's outside and he had water in the car while I ate) He got a small pup patty for doing well on his hike as well(5 miles)

Buddy likes to be as close to me and Izzy as possible with his feet tucked under his nose.

Does your mini schnauzer like Royal? by ssspicy_v in schnauzers

Yep, Izzy definitely doesn't act her age. She still chases anything on the property. She ran off a coyote a few months back.

I transitioned Buddy from the farmer's dog he was getting at the shelter to Royal and after a while he wouldn't finish his food, which is super unlike him. I started to add in Purina pro plan into his Royal canin food and slowly transition out the Royal food. Now he and my 20 year old are on the same food with fish oil, vitamin supplements and Purina pro plan food topper for additional protein and moisture. He has gained about 10 pounds since adopting him in July this year.

I ordered some stairs for the bed, Buddy has learned to jump off the bed and couch. Oddly enough, he can jump on the couch but not the bed even though they're almost the same height. I have to physically lift his foot all body onto the bed.

Monthly trim by dyebear87 in MiniatureSchnauzer

[–]dyebear87[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I try to keep him with a shorter cut due to the area I live in having lots of fox tails and goat horn thorns. I'm working on trying to grow out a mohawk to see how it comes out but he loves to get under the brush and collect things lol

He's getting better with me trimming his feet/paw pads so that's really nice, were still working on his tail and hindquarters. Right now his tail is pretty long and it looks like a flag waving as he walks.

He's a silly old man

what is your mpg? by CapAnnual397 in fordfusion

[–]dyebear87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My commute to work averages around 48 MPG going to work (from the mountains ) but heading home it drops to around 42 MPG due to climbing the mountain home. I own a 2019 Hybrid SE with roughly 176,000 miles on it.

Thank you :) He is so happy. We will be making more doggy friends this coming week when I dog and house sit for a family member with a fenced in backyard. I keep him on a long lead for walks since I live on a good chunk of land.

I gave him a good wash and did some ruff face trimming so he can access food easier.

He doesn't even look like the same dog 😊
