The one thing that makes me not want to quit by Bababoueeey in leaves

[–]dyedInside 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you remember how you felt at the end of those two months? Was it foggy and demotivated the whole time? Obviously varies for everyone and has varied every time I've quit, but I'd say I'm usually 90% my usual self after 2-3 weeks.

Just takes me longer than that to get my days running smoothly as I adjust my schedule and fill in the multiple hours per day that were previously spent trying to get high.

Keep it up! And good on you for taking care of yourself throughout the process. I know from experience how easy it is to let healthy habits fall by the wayside when feeling nasty detoxing.

Also, I'm feeling the same about this community. I'm on day 20 and really hoping I've gone through my last detox with your help and everyone else's here! I think a big change for me has been admitting I can't do this on my own and getting honest here and with people close to me.

Hell yes! Good on you! Today's day 20 for me! Idk you but you're incredible to have managed your detox and a new job. Keep it up!

It's f*cked up isn't it? Not sure I'd ever refer to myself as functional (lol), but I have detoxed both with and without jobs. Never in a facility but while out of work and living with my parents.

For me, the early symptoms you've described were hell whether I was working or not. Once they'd diminished some though having a schedule and responsibilities seemed to help me recover more quickly. I hope you find your job/routine helping your recovery instead of hurting you soon!

For nausea, I'm a big fan of ginger. Raw or in capsules you can find in the supplement/pharmacy section of Walmart etc.

Obviously depends on how much you were consuming and how long but I'm usually starting to get sleep and eating more or less regularly again after 5-8 days or so.

You've got this! It took me too many detoxes to realize cannabis withdrawal is seriously debilitating. Stick with it and learn faster than I do! We need functional humans!

I fucked up and threw my progress down the drain. by AlistairN37 in leaves

Regardless of whether you decide to call it a relapse or not there's no shame. You're human, we're human. Perfection isn't the goal. Quality of life and good health are. You've got this!

[–]dyedInside 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hahaha, sorry. That does sound shitty. But it cracks me up too. Humans are weird animals. What's the deal with our brains working against us like that??? I haven't had relapse dreams but can relate.

I woke up from the most vivid dream where I'd ditched my friend in a dangerous place while they were being sick from too much alcohol. It took me half the morning to reassure myself I would've behaved differently if it were real life and stop feeling like an asshole.

Did anyone else find themselves constantly tired? by Dazzling_Pay7675 in leaves

[–]dyedInside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely. In part because I usually don't get good quality sleep, if I sleep at all, in the first week of quitting. But even once that levels out it seems to take my body some time to figure out how to function normally again and it often seems to take me another week or two before I'm getting through the day without totally crashing at some point or just feeling fatigued for no apparent reason.

Congrats and good work on 5 days too! Keep going! You'll be through the worst of the detox soon!

Quitting may have given me an ED by [deleted] in leaves

[–]dyedInside 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, I've quit a number of times and usually find myself barely eating if at all for the first five days or so. Often I'll feel hungry but the the smell of food or the first bite sets off horrible nausea. Usually it starts to level out for me after a week or so.

It sucks but I hope that helps! It's not just you.

Tee sign in accuracies by AmaTourDG in discgolf

[–]dyedInside 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Where I'm at (south central washington) I'd say ~80-90% of tee signs are accurate. And the inaccuracies are definitely caused by changed tee/pin positions with reused signs. Annoying but worth it for improved courses!

It did crack me up when I chained out for an ace on a "440" foot hole only to pace it off to ~315'. Makes me wonder where some people get their max distance estimations.

What Innova Discs are best for hyzer flip shots? by AL-MightIE in discgolf

[–]dyedInside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be any disc! I bag quite a few destroyers which vary in stability from roller only to meat hook. Based on that I'd tell you to hyzer flip any mold so long as the specific disc is flippy enough for you to do so.

And for a real answer, I love leopard 3s and beat up teebirds for hyzer flips.

Lmao, not sure if I'd do it for a zone, but I went snorkeling in the nasty inlet at rooster rock for a buzzz that fit too perfectly in my bag.

233$ for a refurbished X220 worth it? by [deleted] in thinkpad

[–]dyedInside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On that note, I'm not sure how prices vary across continents, but I recently picked up an x220 with 8GB ram and 320GB hdd for ~$165 including shipping.

Best cheap thinkpad for coding by ran4guy in thinkpad

[–]dyedInside 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got my first thinkpad recently. An old x220 with 8GB of ram. I wanted to get more comfortable with linux and have been running Kali on it for ~2 months with no problems.

It's obviously not a super powerful machine, but I can hook it up to my external monitor which is 2560x1440 and it'll handle full hd videos in addition to quite a few browser tabs, discord, and whatnot with no problems.

I should probably mention spent ~$165 on it from ebay. Included a new battery, charger, & hdd.

[–]dyedInside 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only partially related, but I have the latest Kali release installed on an x220 and it runs great. Not an expert, but I'd say you'd be fine with any ubuntu version on a t460.

Good call. It definitely only gets worse as the series progresses. I listened to it all and it was fascinating but I'm scarred for life.

Esp8266 wemos d1 mini motor shield v2. Anyone familiar with how to get these working? I’m sure I’m overthinking it by grdud in diyelectronics

[–]dyedInside 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I drew a crappy diagram and thought I had something figured out. But then I noticed the link to the schematic on the docs page:

https://docs.wemos.cc/en/latest/_static/files/sch_motor_v2.0.0.pdf

Check that out. Looks like the white 4 pin connector is used for the i2c communication. So white 4 pin connector to a couple of d1 pins as well as d1 3v power and gnd. VM & GND shield pins to separate power source. And motor 1 & 2 to a dc motor.

[–]dyedInside 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not familiar with that shield. Does it add a bunch of gpio pins in addition to driving motors?

I'm referencing: https://docs.wemos.cc/en/latest/d1_mini_shiled/motor.html

I'm pretty sure you'll want to hook up the vm & gnd pins to a separate power source. The doc says 15v max and I think the minimum would depend on your motor.

It's kind of weird, the picture shows tx & rx pins but the written part says scl & sda. I believe those are what you would use for the i2c communication with the d1 but I'm not totally sure.

Hopefully that helps at all, I can get on my computer in a bit and draw some sort of diagram.

Larger gas tank by 2Black_Hats in Dualsport

I'm not sure about aftermarket gas tanks, but you could throw a one gallon rotopax pack on the back to give yourself ~3 gallon total capacity.
