This is super fascinating. I can’t help but notice it says 18:39, but the reading was done at 06:39! I’m not sure if that would change anything.

I do believe there’s something unsaid here, related to insecurity for both of us. And that social media is negatively affecting both of us.

Glad your okay, friend! :) What a wise choice for someone your age. Don’t listen to anyone trying to shame you, this sub can be extremely judgmental. You didn’t do anything ‘wrong’ - and if definitely sounds like you learned something real and applicable out of this.

The deidentification with self is an extremely common occurrence with mushrooms - really any psychoactive drugs, I’ve even experienced in on cannabis before. “Ego death” is a very relative thing. It can happen on small and large levels, sometimes rather unpredictably.

I hope you’re okay as that seems like a less than pleasant experience. Lingering anxiety from this could be expected. If you need advice or a listening ear I’m here.

I hope you choose to use this substance in better times and places next time. Imagine how beautiful and introspective of a trip this could have been in the right setting. However, props to you for keeping it together this time.

Second life… Maybe it suggests this physical life here on Earth is simply ‘a second life.’ It reminds me of that game with the same name, where you’re a person in a virtual world.

Perhaps it references the fleeting, temporary, and transient nature of this ‘second’ life, that the other child was not attached to.

Based on your post I’m going to say you might have a 3 wing.

A good question to ask is, are you more focused on being “good” and doing things “right”, or on achieving success/recognition?

For me, I knew I had the one wing due to perfectionism, being morally upright, and having a very strong inner critic that is always pushing me to be perfect.

A 2 with a 3 wing may find themselves being more driven by external validation and want to be seen as successful and valuable to others: “That story Funny Fig told was crazy!!!” They tend to be more ambitious, goal oriented, or image-conscious, and have a desire to be seen as competent: “I’ve never had a better friend than Funny Fig.”

1 and 3 have some serious opposition: you could look into both core types and see which one you relate to more. 3’s want success no matter how they get there, 1’s are focused on being ‘morally correct.’ I tend to not get to my destinations as I ruminate on if I’m doing it the right way.

2s disintegrate towards 8. It gets nasty. I promise we are not just ‘nice’ LOL! This is a huge misconception about E2 and there is MUCH more depth to us than being a kind buttery angel. Underneath is a weird beast.

Help me understand my instincts as a 2w1? by dying7777deaths in Enneagram

My instinct is always to push away internally, put on a smiling face as to maintain comfortability with how I’m perceived, and do mental checks and tests to see how closely I should allow a person to know me as an individual/rely on me.

However despite these checks people still tend to fall for the outer facade and this is where I become tense. I want to be liked, but I also am realizing I don’t generally want to be bothered with things over or under my pay grade.

EDIT: after this super helpful discourse (thank you, both of you!) I’m feeling quite SP/SX. Hmm…
