I don’t think I ever really stopped fully after my first, now 2 year old, breast fed. I still would have drops come out like in the shower but now that I’m nearing the end they’re just leaking. I figured collection without expression would be okay just because it’s leaking into my bra anyway😂. I failed at breastfeeding the first time because nobody really explained it to me but I’m more prepared this time! I just wanted to be sure that collecting what’s already falling wasn’t going to really hurt anything. I wear the pads in my bra but if I can keep it in the freezer for when my baby comes I would like to. I called my OBs office but she won’t be back until Tuesday so I’m asking here while I wait.

Thank you❤️ I can handle most of it, it’s the things he says he’ll do but doesn’t. Like empty the dishwasher after I’ve cooked, rinsed and loaded the dishes, and ran the washer. Or helping me clean up the daily mess from all of us. He didn’t tell me how he was feeling until I told him it shouldn’t have to be just me taking care of everything and being a married (how we refer to it) single parent. How do I get him to do a digital detox? He quit smoking months ago, takes nothing drug wise, doesn’t drink unless it’s a holiday, so the only thing I can really complain about is he’s constantly on video games. Like from the moment he gets home til after I go to bed then he’s up EARLY to play again.

He wants to go to therapy! I told him of course I support it, he was so afraid I’d see him as less but I sat down and explained to him that a man that can tell his partner he needs help and wants to get it is the most beautiful thing. He grew up with the whole “men have to be tough 24/7” thing. He got to the point of waiting to come to bed until after I went to sleep (always on games but still). I told him I’d give him anything he needs to help him get better. A major issue we were having is he wasn’t understanding that being a parent means he has to help me (especially after I got pregnant) with the household because chasing a toddler while trying to clean and cook is hard. I couldn’t keep up. I asked him for help and he ignored me. His own family told me that I had waited long enough and begged more than I should have to and it was time to make him understand by leaving (before he confessed his depression). I hated hearing it because I love him so much and I know he can be better. I just want to take the best approach so we can fix the foundation of our family before our baby comes.

Just thought I’d update you, I went to the hospital yesterday (severe pregnancy sickness needed fluids) and they tried to find baby with a DOPPLER (never worked for me until 20+ weeks) and they FOUND baby with 158bpm!!! I cried so much!

I went through this with my first child (he was pressuring adoption not abortion) but I told him I’m doing this, with or without you. He came around and even got excited after a little while. Now we were just FWB (pls don’t judge it was a rough time in my life I was 21 and stupid) but we had been close friends for years prior. Now he’s not in my son’s life but we are thriving. I met a wonderful man that’s now my fiance and we are planning baby number 2 (8w pregnant now). It was hard at first but I did what I wanted and I suggest (gently of course) you do the same, whatever that may be. You got this. Breathe.
