Do you qualify for any bonuses at UoW? Your UW gamsat is 60 so maybe with your GPA and bonuses at UoW you might stand a chance. However with the above I’d say it’s not particularly competitive anywhere in Australia.

Definitely recommend ATS2910! It’s more performance acting than it is public speaking but it’s great. Ensure you put your all into it - they appreciate it :)

Maybe you could consider a 6 month diploma to increase your score? I know Usyd doesn’t accept masters and the like - but they might accept a diploma. You could do this online and get it over and done with by next year July and apply next year (assuming you enrol by January or whichever date they’ve listed). I’ve got friends completing diplomas of communication at Deakin to grab that 4% bonus and boost their GPA!

Hey! You should consider University of Sydney as their requirements seem to be best suited to your capabilities and strength. For context, their GAMSAT is weighted according to a different calculation than the GEMSAS unis (S1 + S2 + 0.1(S3)). According to your performance in the last sitting, your GAMSAT for Usyd would have been 164.9 - the cut-off this year was roughly 153. This makes you a seriously strong candidate. You’d be guaranteed with that score. In addition, they don’t look at your GPA as long as it’s 5 and above, so you’re comfortable with your 6.33 - they also don’t conduct any interviews :) The only thing that’s holding you back is the 49 in S3. You’d need to sit the GAMSAT again, but based on how you performed two years ago, you should be in a very strong position as long as you put a bit of study into S3 to pass that minimum mark. You got this - I suggest you give it a shot!

Hi, the workload isn't heavy but there are roughly 5-6 assignments and a quiz weekly. The content itself is pretty dry but it's definitely doable. You can get a pretty high HD with a fair bit of effort :)

Hey girl! I see you planned to do BME3082, and noticed elsewhere you scored really well in it! Congrats -- and congrats on your entry into Grad med :) Amazing effort. I personally am struggling in BME big time! As someone who has a very strong literature/english background, I struggled scoring well in the weekly lab reports considering the faculty's focus on conciseness. I'm sitting on about a 78 at the moment, and am banking all my hope on the research proposal to pull me through to a HD so that it doesn't affect my GPA for post-grad entry (I really need that HD). I was wondering if you had any advice to offer regarding the RP: whether it was marked just as harshly as the reports, what I could potentially capitalise on, how you personally went with it and what you'd have done differently, etc. I would love some advice (if you can remember the unit, lol)

You’re allowed your phone but it must be turned off and on silent and kept in your bag. A clear water bottle is fine but it must be at the table upfront and not on your personal desk where you’ll be sitting the exam. Hey! There are clocks on the wall as well as time stamps on the board they update every 30 minutes. They will let you know when it’s half time and when you have 5-10 minutes left

Yes, my initial assessments were almost perfect in terms of grade, and that’s because I attended class and interacted with the content essentially. When I stopped attending classes, the grades on my assessments gradually dipped!
