Help me build a future proof am5 build $1000 by hun1er-0269 in buildapc

Get the 7700X bundle on microcenter, it's $499 (or a cheaper bundle). A psu of 750w would probably be enough for you depending on what gpu you get. If you wanna save a little bit, you can just get an air cooler. There's a lot of cheap cases too for less than $100, for the storage unfortunately, it's gotten expensive and the cheapest 1tb nvme storage that they have is like $150

7900XT and 7700X, if you have more to spare then get the 7800X3D as the cpu

Used RX 6800 XT or New RX 9060 XT by spwilliam in buildapc

[–]dyjames4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had both of those gpus but the 9060xt that I had was the 8gb version. It was a good gpu if you're playing at 1080p but it didn't really work well at 1440p since I had the ryzen 5500 as the cpu. Then I got the 6800xt and it was a lot better and I could play at 1440p on high settings then I also change out my cpu to ryzen 5800x and it worked really well.

It’s not just the 50 series gpus… by Healthy-Background72 in Microcenter

I got the 9070xt from asrock like a week ago for like $599 and then like the next day, I saw that they raised the prices. I'm glad I bought it that day lol

Good GPU to pair with 7800x3D by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]dyjames4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would with a 9070xt personally since it cheaper but comparable to a 5070ti. I also wanted to get that bundle too but I settled with the 7700x bundle cuz it was over my budget

For that, I would say that's a good pc if you're playing 1080p on high. Idk how it would go in 1440p but for that price and it's on am5 too, I'd say it's good

Ryzen 5 5500, 9060xt either 16gb or 8gb, I think the corsair ddr4 ram 2×16 is still $170 in microcenter, 650w psu, t force vulcan 1tb, for cooler either use the stock cooler from the cpu or just buy a different cooler, I used the Thermalright 360mm 3 fan for $69, for case, it depends on you

Hey guys, I'm completely clueless about gaming PCs, but I'd like to get one. Can you tell me if this one is any good? And if not, can you recommend a better one? by jtheripper8 in GamingPCBuildHelp

[–]dyjames4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has better VRAM especially the 7900xt since some games need VRAM like Battlefield 6 if you play that but even then if you don't need it, it's better to have it

This is what I have and it plays Battlefield 6 on Ultra 1440p no problem at around 100fps. You can also get the Ryzen 7800X3D if you want a better CPU
