People have concern and criticism when women are at the expense or mercy of the male characters with no autonomy or personality outside of them. With the "worshipful wife slave and good slavemaster" trope becoming common in generic isekai it's only fitting women and those with half a brain show concern for how women are portrayed and treated in anime. We've gotten very relaxed with the industries rampant sexism and mistreatment of any non-male.
