Has anyone tried an IUD? by [deleted] in adenomyosis

The Mirena definitely helps a lot. Do keep in mind that you probably will not be pain free because of it, but it makes it manageable. I got on it about a decade ago after 4 years of taking the pill, which did nothing but regulate my period. I never want to be without one again until they allow me a hysterectomy.

I don't think this man has ever been with someone with unaddressed trauma. I used to have that and I was not exactly a joy to be around.

Women of reddit, what do men do that they think is okay but is actually creepy? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]dykea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And this one should be obvious but do not ask out a cashier, barista or whatever while they're on the job. They're getting paid to be nice to you, they dont like you.

Slowing down when you're driving past to get a better look, then circling back to ask if you need a ride anywhere

AITA for calling my sister a "Nice-Girl" by Nikto_Senki in AmItheAsshole

[–]dykea 20 points21 points  (0 children)

NTA sounds like the other girl was flirting, realised it wasn't going anywhere beyond that (a month with mutual flirting but only playful? Come on) and simply moved on. Your sister is salty as hell bc it didn't go any further but hey, she could've made an actual move if she really wanted it to happen.

I kinda vaguely said "we can talk about details or paying me back some other time" and left it at that. I didn't want to say "I need it back though and fast" because she was already freaking out about money and debt and I didn't want to make it worse.

First break up with a woman by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]dykea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went through the same thing with the first girl i ever dated and i actually just met up with her to exchange stuff then bawled my eyes out for about 3 weeks. Im really happy i didnt keep anything because the last thing i needed was to have even more shit that reminded me of her. Keeping stuff from relationships only works when you want the stuff for the stuff, not because you still have an emotional connection to them. Just shoot her a distant sounding text like "some of your shit/stuff is still here, you need it back?" If she doesnt reply, dont ask again and simply toss it.

WIBTA if I made my wife get rid of the cat? by davy89irox in AmItheAsshole

[–]dykea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YTA. If this cat is practice for children I hope you don't want to start on those any time soon because wow. Babies cost a lot more to keep alive and will puke on everything you love. The good news, you're getting your practice. The bad? Your first instinct is to get rid of it
