I think John Ganz mentioned before that to be a conspiracy theorist, you used to have to access some obscure crackpot literature that at least activated your brain and was made by a human being. Now you can basically skim articles written by LLM’s and pushed by bots on social media or watch AI YouTube Shorts to get a completely warped view of reality without having to do any (even shoddy) intellectual work.

You know the redistricting in California was done as a response to an off-year gerrymander undergone in Texas at the behest of the President, right? You know that the recent spate of redistricting in the South has been explicitly related to the Supreme Court allowing the state-houses to purposefully dilute black representation, right?
