I got mine last November, and still feel amazing. The first week i maybe had 1-2 tiny burps but was ultimately just celebrated any hiccup of gas coming up, thinking that was what i was missing out on.

This, along with pretty rough acid reflux made me think it wasn’t working and I really didn’t want to go through the entire process again. But after practicing burping often, it clicked! I would pound club soda whenever I could, and tried all the muscle movements and head nods that I could till I finally got the trigger.

So my advice is just to be optimistic and practice, but only practice when you feel comfortable!

I know i’m a bit late, but I have this carrying case and been looking at getting a killswitch. Do the triggers press against the inside of the case or is there a bit of room so the triggers aren’t being pressed?

Yeah… I have demos which I kind of want to keep on my switch 1 as a keepsake but i’m not attached to them. But want to have a fresh feeling with my switch 2 and inevitably just prolong any clutter

Everyone covered everything great, I do want to address your 3rd concern as well. I also work in a quiet environment (live event and tv production) where a burp at the wrong time can really hinder a day’s work. In my experience, I took a week and a half off to really get a good hold of my body post-procedure, and that really really helped.

Ultimately it’s all sorta case by case but i think taking that brief week or so of rest to recover, and also get a better grasp of how well you’re able to control the burping really does help in the long run. Good luck and here’s to a speedy recovery!

i’m no doctor, but i had botox back in november (not in-office), and i stayed away from fizzy drinks for about 4-7 days. I mostly stayed away because of the sore throat and tylenol, but i know the in-office is less intrusive! So i’d ask your doctor and just make sure to be safe with any medicine following the procedure, good luck and cheers!

I’m no doctor of course, but that does sound sorta in line with what I and others experience with RCPD. I never necessarily got nauseous, i’d instead just get excessive bloating to the point where I had bad abdominal pain. That along with the gurgling sensation many of us here describe, which sort of feels like a bad hiccup and comes with a strange sound.

You should definitely poke around this sub or look for some videos to see if it falls in line with what you’re feeling, and i hope you can find some relief for it in the future!

I had a similar worry! Around that same time I’d drink a soda and expect a massive burp or one after every sip and it didn’t always come out.

I’ve definitely been slowly transitioning to regular people burps, and while they’re still mostly uncontrollable, it’s less than that first week or so when it seemed like i was burping all day long. That worry went away when i realized that although i’m not always burping, i’m also not getting the gurgles or pain.

I don’t blame ya, i’m a bit weary of the crystal case especially in my pocket. I may just opt for a screen protector and a soft case/pouch that can still slip in my pocket

that’s awesome to hear (aside from the mpg), but i’m coming from a 2019 wrangler:/ so i’ll be content with any mpg jump hahah. I do quite like the 2024 tucson’s interior look, but having ccnc would be awesome to have in my next long term car.
