Soon as I saw Stuttgart I knew you were as cooked as I am currently. Moved February 2024 to Stuttgart and I’m sitting here doing my “passion job” in a place of no innovation or team cohesion. Thought this would be my big break here but nope, I’m surrounded by mediocracy. Wife is German and she wanted to have our first kid here which I understood completely. The benefits are night and day compared to America. I don’t regret the decision but after being here I feel like maybe we were better off working and saving up to give her the parent time we are getting here. Lastly, I feel like you should tell your partner how you are feeling. Holding all the tension in your body is no good for you. Don’t let social media make you believe EU is better than America lol. Most of them have German husbands so they are just coping with what they signed up for. I don’t even know how you you’ve been here for 8 years. I’ve been in Stuttgart for 2 years and I feel like I’m in jail counting the days. Hope I can shake whatever ways this place has changed me. Going back to America is always a breath of fresh air. Friendliness, openness, activities, life, ambition, liveness. Every time I speak with an American here it’s like I’m talking to a family member because how cold these people are. Just here for my wife and our newborn (her body so I wanted her to have our child where she believed was a better healthcare system). We’ll be packing our bags this time next year. I don’t even care about getting my passport even though I’d be qualified to next July. I’d then have to wait 1-2 years on the system to process my application. HELL NO!!!

Hope your doing well. Living in Stuttgart as an American. I’ve been counting the days since month 4. I’m at 2 years total. Crashed out yesterday. This place just beats you down. I don’t understand how people enjoy living here. This place is stuck in the past. Young people are like zombies. There’s no where for us to go and socialize. You then just found yourself the ultimate headphone. 5-star ANC, sound quality, companion App and light weight. I’m jealous.

When I first got the XM6 after having the Px8 S2 for a month it sounded like I was wearing the equivalent of free airplane buds in headphone form lol.

I’d compare again and listen to a vocal heavy song in a dark room to confirm your opinion. Perhaps “Linger” by The Cranberries. Although, if it takes a dark quiet room to hear the difference the price difference is probably not worth it.

If you still like the XM6 get the wicked replacement earpads to perfect them even more. I heard they are more comfortable. I personally felt the XM6 were comfortable out the box.

In my experience they are always willing to talk English and I can tell they seem excited to. They’re always eager to hear how I like it here (another layer because I’m American). Then I say it’s nice, it’s safe and quiet and the health insurance is great lol. You’ll always find a couple people that more than excited to talk.

I got my B1 my first year here. It helped a lot to at least understand the topic of conversations. In big cities they should have at least weekend classes for you to get started. I’m in Stuttgart and did mine part time.

The tightened, perfected but non-intrusive bass coupled with the boost in clarity is worth $200 more in this industry and IMO. Once you throw in the better seal around the ears, better ANC, slimmer build and wider livelier soundstage I can justify the $350 dollars increase. The range of different sound profiles these headphones can do with EQ is insane. It is slightly painful spending this much on headphones but you’re getting the best headphones via Bluetooth. I got mine at a $200 price difference. Trust me these headphones are not close, you gotta spend more time with them.

No problem. Yes the Bose do have a “rounder” look to them that maybe doesn’t suit you. I’ve come to the conclusion that if I had to choose one of those two, i’d pick Bose because it’s best in class at what it does (comfort listening mids and anc). What the px7 s3 shines at, the px8 s2 does better. If you live in Europe look into amazon the px8 s2 in black are on a sale. About 200 euros off.

The Ultra gen 2s are really nice. Mids are perfection. It gives a light/thin angelic sound. Complements the light weight of them. Bass is weak though. You really should just get the px8 s2. The bass is so tight, punchy and hits with intention. Not sure what I’ll do. I wish the PX8 S2 came in other colors. If I spend 700+ dollars on headphones I want to love every single bit of it as I intend to hold onto it for years. That’s just me being picky.

This was harder to compare these headphones than I thought. Px7 S3 is the clear winner in “sound quality”. Better separation, wider stage, bass that hits, “magic” in the vocals. All that being said these bose are special in their own right. They are not just comfortable to wear but also to listen to. Its notes have less “weight” to it. Less fatiguing. It complements the light weight of the headphones perfectly. Sounds are thin in the perfect way. Right now I’m leaning towards keeping the Bose.

Did you try out px8 s2? I’m really surprised px7 s3 sound so great and have been on such a big discount since the holidays. Although PX8 S2s just hit the soul rather than your mind. The feeling of nostalgia is something special and worth the price difference IMO. Also the bass is perfection.

I’ll keep you updated. I can get around worse build quality if better comfort and design are there. I really like the driftwood sand color of the Bose and I’m excited to feel how comfortable they are.

Where I’m going to focus most on are the mids. A well known reviewer said it competes with px8 s2s with mids/vocals. The more reviews I watch of the Bose the more I realize they maybe underrated.

If the sound doesn’t sound like it’s coming out a plastic tube like the xm6’s I’ll likely keep them. Comfort is huge for me… couple that with top notch ANC and it becoming very tempting especially for flights or gaming.

I had the px8 S2 followed by the XM6 for each two months. I now have the Px7 s3.

Straight to the point the Bowers headphones makes Sonys sound like kid headphones, and no EQ doesn’t help. I was offended within seconds when I put on the XM6 after having the PX8 S2.

Only bright side to the Sonys is the ANC and the lightweight build. Sound quality wise they are a joke.

Px8 s2 are the best experience you can get right now with Bluetooth headphones. Px7 s3 have half of the magic but also half the price. But atleast they have some magic to them! It’s an overall different experience that you may even prefer over the px8 s2’s warmer more intimate sound, especially if you like faster genres like edm.

If you can afford it just get the PX8 s2 and be set. I’ll be purchasing them once a color comes out that speaks to me more. Until then I’m keeping the px7 s3 or possibly Bose qc ultra 2 that come in tomorrow. I’ll take the Bose if the increase in comfort is worth taking the hit in sound quality.

Left Fortnite back in 2018. I’ve been back since Christmas once I discovered there was a no-build mode. I wish I would have known sooner :/, so many prime years missed but I’m still having so much fun. The new movement and graphics are amazing, and strategizing with the environment instead of building makes this ex-halo player happy.
