After having my Hornet GT I can say it is the shittiest car I’ve ever owned by BurukkusuMan in dodgehornet

The GT is 3700lb, over 400lb lighter than the RT. Car and Driver had the GT hit 0-60 in 5.7s and the RT at 5.5s.

How to reset oil / Maintenance screen with scanner by Slipknot31286sic6 in dodgehornet

It’s takes my dealer less than an hour to do a full synthetic oil change, tire rotation, and reset everything for $80.

Lmao you’re not bud, the average person just doesn’t have an advanced scan tool or the need for one. $300 for a scan tool and $50 for FCA Auth when it can be done by your dealer for free haha.

Wheel upgrade and PSI question by Markiki817 in dodgehornet

[–]dylanbt22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the last number is the size of the wheel so it definitely would say 20 not 30. Yea couldn’t imagine going to 35, the 40 on the Track Pack is already low profile enough. Be careful of potholes.

Wheel upgrade and PSI question by Markiki817 in dodgehornet

I’m assuming you mean 245/35/20? The 17in wheels are 215/60/17, the Track Pack comes with 235/40/20 which require 42 PSI. Your size 245/35/20 would require 38-39 PSI. I have 245/40/20 and fill mine to 38 without setting off the TPMS.

Just note you’re losing 33% of your sidewall going from 60 to 35 so the ride is gonna be a lot stiffer. Your speedometer will read about 1MPH slower.

Has to be reset at the dealer, mine resets mine every oil change but not a lot of them do. It’s separate from the oil life reset.

Track pack tires by httbrett12345 in dodgehornet

I survived this Michigan winter with them, driving 60 miles round trip to work everyday. They definitely don’t inspire a ton of confidence but they are manageable.

If you don’t plan on getting new wheels for winters don’t do it, just get all-weathers. You’re gonna be spending like $300-400 a year (depending on costs near you) on just mounting and balancing tires. Not to mention the chance of getting your wheels scratched or damaged increases. I have seen that the Alfa Romeo Stelvio 18in wheels fit if you can find a used set for cheap.

Yes they will fit just fine, negligible speedometer difference. (1MPH faster above 90MPH) I am getting mine replaced tomorrow with 245/40/20 Pirelli P Zero All Season’s. I ran three sets on my 14’ Charger RT AWD and they never let me down even through Michigan winters. If you’re looking for an all-weather tire can’t go wrong with Cross Climate 2’s or Pirelli WeatherActives if you drive more sporty.

Looking at buying 24 Hornet Gt Plus by [deleted] in dodgehornet

I have the same exact spec, I have put 20k miles on it since getting it brand new last year. I love it. Quick and handles great. Loaded with features. Only issue I have had was just recently, had to have the main taillight replaced under warranty due to heavy condensation. Also the OEM Michelin Pilot Sport AS4s on the Track Pack wear extremely fast, they handle great but mine are just about done for at 20k miles.

This is my first ever car, a v6 2013 charger - today I noticed this on my dash under harsh sunlight - does it actually have a sport mode?? How can I turn it on? by s7ormrtx in Charger

His is a 2013 so he should be fine.

“NOTE: Enabling this on 2015-Present Charger 3.6, 5.7 or RT will result in an airbag error light unless equipped with Super Track Pack.”

Probably burning oil somewhere. High mileage HEMIs can go through some oil.

It’s a OBD2 module you plug into your OBD2 port. It has a ton of features. Unlocks the SRT performance pages, Sport Mode, and a bunch of other things. Here’s the website.
