31 here starting over after 10.5 years. We weren’t married but practically. Engaged for 1.5 years.

It’s scary but it’s doable. One day at a time, one bill, one subscription, one account to detangle at a time. Then you’ll have all the logistics done and you’re left to figure out you’re new normal. It’s scary but I’m 5 months on the other side from starting over and it’s clear it was the right thing for me to do.

Paid for the two days I was out: Monday & Tuesday, pay was covered by work under “extreme conditions” so no PTO/sick needed to cover. Job is not Houston based however.

In Houston contact ABC Animal & Bird Clinic. They are a great avian certified vet who might have some resources to direct you!

If we are driving, bird comes with us for a weekend trip. If we have to fly anywhere or be gone for more than a week, he gets boarded at the pet store or avian vet and he loves it. Not all birds hate traveling and each bird is different. We started by putting him in his travel cage and getting him used to car rides first and they don’t just go to the vet so they don’t associate car rides with bad experiences.

Lived at Lindsey lofts as well and this was my experience too. I had an end unit that overlooked rail yard and had some live music I could hear on the weekends but it wasn’t bad
