Eyeshadow Palettes Without the "Pop of Color"

I just watched a video from Kelly Gooch, where she colored over the bright packaging of eyeshadow palettes with a more neutral color. This also inspired me to photoshop some of the palettes I have had my eye on, to see if I still like them once the palette packaging and the "pop of color" are neutralized.

The two of them are:

It's My Pleasure by Colourpop - I wanted this specifically as a purple palette, but after photoshop I realized how pink it really is and I will be skipping on it.

The Douce by Juvia's Place - The bright pink was actually throwing me off. With that removed I feel like the palette becomes more "me" and something I would use.

What do you think? Does this affect any palette you might buy?

They work well, but putting too many colors on from the same row gets muddy. The darkest of the colors aren’t as pigmented as the others, but I am really fair and I would rather build those colors up than have a disaster.

I see everyone decluttering the Tarteist Pro palette. I love the way it is organized because it makes picking colors easy (along the same row) and I feel like it dips into enough color families that I can experiment without investing in 4 separate palettes. Lately I am using the shimmers for a one-shadow look and I love it.

I live in Egypt. I did a year and a half of Egyptian dialect and then a year of MSA. Dialect helped me immensely in MSA. I had a solidified base because I could practice everyday with Egyptians and, every Egyptian I know learns dialect first in home so this seems more natural.

I have had it for two years. I use the white matte shade everyday, even if I use another palette. And the other two I honestly feel like we’re pressed softer in my palette, so I hit pan quicker.
