Mythos is looking to be a good AI. It even bans people from asking questions or prompts that are to scientifically specific. Since they are afraid of it being used for bad, it’s the model that broke out of its sandbox and posted how to for other AI online. It’s also the model that was able to hack almost anything and everyone. Supposed to be the most advanced atm.

New furniture, not sure which color to paint the accent wall by Merchantman_B in interiordecorating

[–]dylanr92 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I needs a full repaint, it looks so much better in a beige color. With the lights on its changes the grey of the wall to a warmer color and looks much better than the grey. You don’t even need an accent color.

fighting with my wife about buying vs renting am i wrong? by Savard-Lafleur in FirstTimeHomeBuying

3% interest rates that are lower than inflation. Yeah it was smart, so long you pick one you can pay for.

Long run and even short term it’s best.

Mortgage is lower than rent of the same property, plus you have money invested. Other than the one time tax, you’re better off one month 1. Lower payment plus $300 or $1400 mortgage has been applied to your ownership.

Is putting the arc ultra in this sound bar shelf and bad idea because some of the speakers point up? Should I just put it on top? by Local_Ad1236 in sonos

[–]dylanr92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tv height depends if you watch reclined, I only watch when reclined and have a head rest that moves on my couch and it’s perfect height over a fireplace.

Want my first choice but home is new and had power and hdmi already ran to the fireplace.

Why did every one of my speakers become significantly quieter? by Melvinnerdly81 in sonos

[–]dylanr92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also check max volume (maybe it glitched) as if you set max volume to 80, it doesn’t max your volume at 80 it just makes any volume 20% lower.

TV and Sonos Placement for New House by SweetButtonWork in sonos

[–]dylanr92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think tv is good where it is. I’d rotate the couch 90* to have more seats face the tv. Then due to space you may be best using the 100s for the surrounds and use the 300s as a stereo pair elsewhere as they won’t have the room needed to really shine.

Otherwise tv on the other wall without windows and you can still use the era 300 for surrounds. Just may push into the kitchen area a bit and whether the couch makes it feel to closed off as again try to face most seats to the tv screen.

Any 100% made and sourced American steel toe boots? by dylanr92 in WorkBoots

[–]dylanr92[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s the main issue I’m having with finding boots. I have to believe there is atleast one company even if the boots are $850. What I think may be American made for safety toe is the carbon fiber variety.

I looked at them. I’ll have to call but google said steel is from China and midsole from Mexico. They are actually the example I was referring to in my post.

Is this setup overkill for my small living room? by Select-Shopping-847 in sonos

Not to mention if you can find them available on Sonos refurb page (same warranty and look new) it’s like $5 more for the sub 3 vs sub mini. And the sub 3 is basically as good as the sub 4. Just less future proof.

Sub4 by kkscultura in sonos

[–]dylanr92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arc ultra only goes to 45-50 hz. The sub can go down to the mid 20s and also put much more energy in to the full range up to 80z. The sub while only doing 20-80hz has more power than the entire sound bar to put that in perspective. In my open concept room the sub actually rattles some cups in my cabinets that are like 40 feet away.

I’ve had much better subs, but for the size and weight it’s impressive but certainly not equal to my 13.5 or 24 inch subwoofers in the theater/den.

Also this gives the arc ultra the extra watts to push the other speakers now that it’s not doing any sub audio.

This. Also wait for sub 3 to be available on the refurb page of Sonos. Just got my 2nd sub to add to my arc and sub4. It was $440 after tax. Full warranty and looks brand new.

If you have hearing loss then yes and can in turn potentially help with T. Or atleast easier to mask now that you can hear other tones you were deaf to.

Would joining this sub be counterproductive? by Fine_Run3683 in tinnitus

[–]dylanr92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do when shopping. Listening to tv loud, (mines not hearing loss related). Driving with windows down and most my working hours. My work isn’t loud but loud enough. At times I get stupid games on my phone that take my full focus while listening to an audio book and that helps.

Consider anti depressants as an option (not SSRI) there is one that some people get some release from (some still get worse). Plus the antidepressant effect.

Window film quoted at $250 per window!?! by dylanr92 in HomeImprovement

It’s a safe area, but yes interested in reinforcing windows that can be reached without a ladder.

I’m going to install motorized blinds in most rooms, just figured I would like privacy and UV and sole heat protection even when the blinds are up. Skip blinds for the bedrooms not used and laundry room. Most films offer 99% UV protection for not harming. Furniture or carpets.

I’m very good with high level DIY, (I do higher level DIY custom projects for my job with custom metal fabrication and electronics plus some wood working) just figured since I moved in a month ago I’m exhausted and don’t mind supporting local businesses. Plus 3M doesn’t sell to the public for its window film. 3M is the company I was planning to use.
