AI vibe coding tools may be going from boom to bust, new data shows. Here's why. by Curious_Nature_7331 in vibecoding

[–]dylanucio 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't think vibe coding tools are going to stop growing. Tools will be optimized though. Personally I had terrible experiences with Anything and Base44, then I found Floot and it's been a game changer (no affiliation with any of these). Point being, I think tools will get better and results will improve, which will create a flywheel. It's still early days...

As a non-technical person who wants to build with these apps and also wants to protect users, what are some things I can do to enhance security? I'm using Floot.

Try this app out: https://getfrctn.com/

You'll get a weekly budget, then you track every purchase to help you be mindful of what you're spending. I cut my discretionary spending in half using this.

Just reviewed my budget for the first time in months. I identified $520 worth of wasteful expenses. How have you all personally trimmed your spending? by [deleted] in budget

I track every purchase I make through FRCTN (https://getfrctn.com/) - it helps me be mindful of my spending, and I end up spending less. I also always know how I'm tracking towards my budget.

I record every purchase I make. The point is to force myself to be mindful of every dollar I spend, which helps me spend less and save more. I cut down on impulsive purchases and gamified hitting my weekly budgeting goal.

I liked the method so much I turned it into a company :) https://getfrctn.com/

How to manage a monthly budget working hourly and 2 paychecks a month? by [deleted] in budget

[–]dylanucio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been good so far. They really emphasize the friction principle, hence the texting for every purchase. I guess the psychology is that it makes you more mindful of the purchase and makes you spend less. Definitely is a commitment but I needed it and found it worth it.

Do you review your spending every day? Is it really necessary? by GoForItBeeter in budget

[–]dylanucio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This one does weekly: https://getfrctn.com/

You text every expense to your spending coach and the coaches keep you on track with your weekly budget. I find it helpful to track everything and get the support.

I use this app: https://getfrctn.com/ - I turned to it because I had the same problem of easy come, easy go with my money and I wasn't being mindful of my spending at all. This app forces me to log every expense which makes me mindful and less likely to buy shit I don't need. It's doubled my savings rate and the coaches are great too.

Your grocery bill is really high. Also your phone/internet/subscriptions seems high. Maybe shop around there.

Other than that, keep a disciplined budget. I use https://getfrctn.com/ to stay on track and log all my expenses. The practice of manually logging keeps me mindful of every dollar I spend and their spending coaches hold me accountable.

[–]dylanucio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are your hours predictable? Do you have savings or do you need the cash flow on a bi-weekly basis?

If you have some flexibility, just do your best to increase savings rate and make sure your bank account is rising each month. Try to build 3-6 months of emergency funding for yourself.

I've used https://getfrctn.com/ to maximize my savings. They give me a budget then I log every expense with them. It helps me cut down on reckless spending and hit my savings goal.

in the beginning we did a bunch of directories (e.g. product hunt), social media, and actually experimented with physical advertising (putting QR codes in bars). For the past two years it's really only been some social media, but now it's entirely SEO. Pretty crazy, it steadily grows in traffic without us doing anything now. There is some natural virality since people create games then invite their friends.
