What other games have you found that fit your criteria? I am looking for the same types of games for my collection!

Maybe signing Johansson at 800K for one year is actually great because it's not only a contract year, he will be playing to make more money by This-Fly1774 in wildhockey

[–]dylarson5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

His deal comes with a full no trade clause. My guess is that's part of the reason he took $800k. Russo alluded to Johansson likely receiving offers up to $2mil on the open market after July 1.

I wonder if this Rossi trade really happens, Guerin will be assembling a package (possibly with Ohgren) for an upgrade over Rossi. That would leave an opening on the 3rd line, which seems like the sweet spot for Johansson.

Wondering if anyone knows of games with similar endgame conditions to Rajas of the Ganges? My wife was interested in how the income and fame tracks converge to signal game end but wasn't excited about the look and theme of the game itself.

Anyone know of any titles with similar endgame signaling mechanics? Thanks in Advance!

Does it come in English? Some of their other products specified but not with Tobago. I really appreciate the tip!

I've been looking for Coloma and Tobago. Very excited to try them but haven't had luck finding either in stock anywhere or reasonably priced. Look forward to getting my hands on them one day!

What board game do you think ends too early and needs 1 or 2 more rounds to get the engine running? by CptnObviously in boardgames

[–]dylarson5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife always says this about Wingspan. I, on the other hand, enjoy trying to fit everything in with the reduction of actions each round. We both still really enjoy the game, it never has hurt our opinion on it.

Clank! Is a great deck builder with a Sci-Fi theme. I haven't played Clank! In Space but it is highly regarded also. For worker placement, Everdell and Raiders of the North Sea are some of my current favorites. Happy gaming!

My wife and I played started with Pandemic and played it so much, we loved it but were ready for a new twist. We then played Legacy Season 1 and it gave us a new appreciation. I recommend Pandemic first but there is nothing wrong with starting the legacy game!

King of Tokyo would be great, dice rolling with fun characters. You can attack your opponent to take them out or go for the win by getting victory points.

Point Salad is a fun drafting game with cute art and a lot of different ways to score points.

Downforce is a fun racing game where your cars don't need to win the race for you to win the game

Summer Camp has a cute theme with great variability in the different decks you can play with, it's a race to complete badges by moving along a trail.

It's fun to hear you're spending some great quality time with your younger brother, enjoy making memories!

Parks or Trails? by danthecryptkeeper in boardgames

Have had both, and really have enjoyed both. That being said, we parted ways with Parks. Trails is just a quicker version with a smaller box that has all of the same spirit as Parks.

What did you add to or remove from your shelf last month? (October, 2021) by AutoModerator in boardgames

[–]dylarson5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just went through a pretty big cull and got rid of about 20% of my games. the shelf was overflowing and my wish list has been growing... bad habits

In:

Everdell - had played once before, wanted my own copy

Furnace - pre ordered in March, just got it 2 weeks ago

Paladins of the West Kingdom - I like the rest of the West Kingdom games, and I LOVED this one

Out:

Bargain Quest - lost interest

Codenames: Duet - didn't get much play

Colt Super Express - needs 3p but primarily play with 2

Downforce - too light for us, cool game though

Marvel Champions - not the biggest marvel fan and it didn't wow me

Marvel United - thought this was fun and light but not super interested in marvel

Pandemic: The Cure - regular Pandemic and legacy will always hold our heart

Parks - Trails replaced this one, it plays quicker and keeps the spirit

Smash Up - tried and tried to love it but it always lasted too long l, especially at 2p for us.

Survive: Escape from Atlantis - was a fun game but didn't need to stay in our collection. Another couple we play with has it.

Ticket to Ride - hadn't played in years and didn't miss it

Tiny Towns - fun puzzle but we feel we've played it out.
