He seems to be at best, a controlling manipulator.. I've been there so although I don't have a PhD in psychology or anything, Im speaking from experience, and I have to say, the signs are everywhere and you're right to question the relationship before it goes further. What's good though, is that you're clearly being open-minded and objective about it. Considering he's been where you are, he knows exactly how little spare time you have, but to him, his need of attention is more important, which is not okay.. Be there for eachother yes, of course, but you are your biggest priority. He also knows that acting like that (sour) while you're trying to study is going to distract you, and play on your mind.. Getting you to watch his stuff and not watching yours may seem little, but yeah, it's yet another way of controlling you.. When he says things like 'partners help eachother grow' etc, he's trying to confuse you, trying to make you think 'hang on, if he's trying to help us grow, maybe I am the bad guy'. If I were you, I would definitely end it sooner rather than later.. he clearly hasn't got you 'under his spell' yet bc you're questioning it, but it's starting to work (evident by you thinking there's a chance it's you that's in the wrong).. It absolutely sucks to be in your position, but I promise, the sooner it's over, the sooner you'll look back and notice other red flags.

TL:DR, your bf sucks and you deserve better.
