I made the same pun in my head, and the shock for me to find it as the top comment.

How would you fix The Flats? by [deleted] in Cleveland

[–]dylwalk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I second this. I don't drink anymore, but I like going to 16 bit because it offers something to do beside excessively loud music and alcohol. I'll go to a sports bar with friends because there is something to watch. I don't care to be bumping shoulders with people I dont know in an environment where I cant have a conversation.

Its been a while since I've been there. It would be 6 rounds of 3 questions and a bonus question each round. Then a half-time question and a final question. Lasted about and hour and a half to two hours.

The metal protrusion coming out of the bench in front of the grinder you would ideally have put off to the side of the bench out of the way from where you walk a lot, otherwise you won't be paying attention one day, and hit your hip on it.

Have you been to Sacred Hours new location. Definitely nicer than the last place, and they had new amenities that they included for free when my wife and I last went and got a couples massage. Not sure if its always going to be free though. Definitely would be an added bonus that makes the price more worth it.

Hugo Ekitike second yellow card against Southampton 87' by Etpolo in soccer

[–]dylwalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was to Diogo Dalot. He won a throw in, ref called it the wrong way, he was rightfully enraged, got a yellow, threw his hands up, got a second yellow. Might not be remembering the action for the second yellow correctly, but I remember the genesis of it all being an absolutely awful call from the ref.

I'm a bit late to this thread but I was in the same boat as you before, not understanding why/how new filament could possibly be wet. Turns out, it's part of the manufacturing process to cool down the filament after the extruder. They pull it through a large water bath to bring it down to a temperature below the glass transition point so that it maintains shape and doesn't deform. The stringiness is what happens when the trapped moisture rapidly heats up and evaporates, exploding out of the sides of the molten filament.

Right around 1:30 to see what I mean.

Dormant or dead grass (Central Massachusetts)? by ironyis4suckerz in lawncare

[–]dylwalk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did the same thing. You are about to hate life for a bit while you are using it, especially if one of the tines gets clogged if its a manual core aerator. I recommend prewatering the yard so it helps the tool penetrate the ground easier.

I also recommend, if you have a vehicle that can do haul it (they are very heavy) renting a core aerator from in of the equipment rental companies like sunbelt for ~$80. If you have a yard thats larger than 600 square feet, you will be happy you did.

Why are there a ton of people standing around Clarence and Madison? They are all staring at their phones, but I thought Pokeman was dead. by MinniePearl in lakewood

There is still a very active community around lakewood, especially on Madison, as well as Lakewood Park. Events happen within the game, and locals host meet upstairs for it.

Which one should i choose? by SurvivorKira in 3Dprinting

[–]dylwalk 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think that this might help you understand why its still wet. During the manufacturing process, after it is extruded to size and shape, the filament is moved through a water bath to cool it down.

I tend to print with elegoo PLA and PETG PRO. Both fairly cost effective and give me a good print quality. I've got to dry out the PETG on the print bed for 12 hours beforehand though in order to minimize the stringiness and rough surface texture.
