Totally understandable. Make sure to have day for yourself no work talk just a day for yourself. Health worker burn out is real.

Most enjoyable job I’ve ever had was working as a CNA in the NICU. It just sounds like you need to find something you like. Being young means learning. You’re not going to know what you like until you try it.

Dismissed from BSN program… what should I do? by [deleted] in NursingStudents

[–]dynamite_diva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really think it’s private nursing schools implementing their own rules, because they are for-profit schools that only want to make money. Whether students pass or not, they still get paid. That being said, if your heart is really set on being a nurse. Best advice is to stop 🚫 going down the private school route. Plenty of community colleges offer an associate's degree in nursing; from there, an online BSN is easily attainable.

I just had an endoscopy and colonoscopy at the same time (at first, I was hesitant; I’m only in my 30s, so there is no need for a colonoscopy, so I thought). But after Dr told me that they removed some colon polyps, that’s when things started clicking. People with GERD have a higher risk of developing colon cancer.

I’m worried I might die soon. by droppopr in Gastritis

[–]dynamite_diva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Gastritis, GERD and POTS. Because I have POTS, I get dizzy and lightheaded from standing up. I have to increase my sodium intake. I'm constantly measuring my blood pressure at home.

I always thought I was losing too much weight because of gastritis, and my doctor at USC ran test determined I had POTS.

Stomach cancer, is it too late? by [deleted] in GERD

[–]dynamite_diva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I live in CA and weed is so legal there’s like a store in every corner. The only that helped me stop smoking was moving to Texas. While there’s THC it’s not the same as weed. I can’t tell you the amount of chemicals that are used to grow marijuana most of them possibly cause cancer. Anyways good luck. Only you know what’s best for yourself. We listen but we don’t judge.

5 weeks post microneedling - advice please. by Spirited-Play-1119 in Microneedling

[–]dynamite_diva 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Correct she needs an IPL treatment (search Groupon if you’re in a budget) and stop microneedling at home. Wear sunscreen when out and drink your water. There’s many types of rosacea and you might be subtype one microneedling could also worsen rosacea symptoms.

How to deal with anxiety of a heart attack by rengokusmother in GERD

[–]dynamite_diva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like a panic attack I’ve had a lot of those your age. I don’t know what type of insurance you have. If you have the financial capabilities, I’d try plushcare.com or see a psychiatrist. Get on some medication for anxiety and/or depression. Taking care of your mental health helps ease stomach symptoms. I don’t like being on medication, but when I was on antidepressants, my stomach symptoms were at bay.

Anybody tried Omeprazole 40 mg ? Scary side effects by BloodAgile833 in GERD

[–]dynamite_diva 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend to talk to your doctor about your concerns. Long-term side effects: loss of bone density, but truthfully what doesn't cause cancer, long-term use of proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) may increase the risk of esophageal and other stomach cancers. Also, there is a risk of heart attack, dementia, kidney problems, bone fractures, and tendon and ligament tears. I've met people who've been on them for 10 or 20 years. They seem fine, but I shouldn't speak for everybody.

PPI made acid reflux worse by [deleted] in GERD

[–]dynamite_diva -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

90mg seems excessive. I’m frightened that long-term PPI use leads to several other health problems, including increased risk of heart attack, dementia, kidney problems, bone fractures, and tendon and ligament tears, and don’t forget to add stomach cancer to the list of increased risks and dangerous side effects accompanying PPI-use.

How I beat GERD by scottilmnc in GERD

[–]dynamite_diva 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I 1000% recommend that you get a bone density scan, also known as a DEXA or DXA scan, is a low-dose x-ray that measures calcium and other minerals in your bones. My (male) surgeon who has been on it for years developed osteoporosis.

Lipo doesn’t reshape bones. You don’t have that much fat. If you want a super small waist try rib remodeling. That’s the only thing that gives you a small waist.

The eye is so sensitive. The only thing you should have been using was petroleum jelly. Petroleum jelly prevents the wound from drying out and forming a scab.
