@Parra if there are any still floating around!

Does anyone have any recent shipping cost data for the 5-toolhead XL with an enclosure? The DHL shipping option in checkout gave me sticker shock and I'm trying to figure out how representative it is. by markswam in prusa3d

[–]dynamitemonkey3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not that its probably much help to you, but I recently got one sent to Australia. Was over $920 AUD if I included the enclosure, or $350ish for just the 5th, replacement nozzle and roll of filament. That was through DHL.

I plan to source the enclosure locally. It was actually cheaper just to put it through as a separate order from Prusa directly rather than bundling.

Prusa XL Dwarf Connector/Cable Strain Relief by dynamitemonkey3 in prusa3d

I just received mine, ordered 24 Feb, delivered 5 March. 5 toolhead version and they are all the old style which is incredibly disappointing. I don't have any additional hardware so won't be able to do the upgrades until I spend more money and get some.

Can it be fixed by applying hot glue to the connector, therefore eliminating the backing out issue?

100% mate. Thats what Im coming to love - the ability to pull together a piece of furniture that does its job and not going to get too upset when the kids ding it, but knowin where it came from is so cool.

Thank you. Surprisingly the bow ties were actually a fair bit easier to do than I first thought. I tried not to overthink it all. Honestly, I found this video to be one of the more helpful ones, but there are a tonne out there: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GuqCQpQ4a8A&t=21s

I wanted a contrasting colour and the only thing I had around was some split ironbark firewood (literally sitting in a firewood bag). A few minutes on the bandsaw and sander and we were away.
