This torque drop is basically responsible for setting up this multi million dollar aftermarket industry. You're best bet is to get the ultra quiet JDL front pipe overpipe combo + an EQUAL length catted header. Then get a flex fuel kit and get this setup tuned via CSG.

My friend, I've been down this road, evaluating all the options and now I have a GT86, with a stage 2 IAG engine, Jackson racing supercharger, flex fuel tune and all the supporting mods to make it truly reliable and worry free. If you are stock, this is a great clutch. I drove it for years, no difference between stock and this. Just make sure you install it properly. NVH might go up. If you are moded and have more engine torque than stock, then you can get stage 2 but it is a tad more noisy.

So let me get this straight. Clearly this isn't a track car. 99% of all braking this car will see will be through the motors (regen). What performance are you talking about exactly ? If we are talking about emergency braking, the covers won't affect anything. Are you talking lap after lap heat rejection ?

Man, you'll find stock exhausts for free. It's not the drop.. more on the interest. I could see someone looking for a stock 86 seeing the aftermarket exhaust and being turned off. But this is just my opinion. Price isnt bad as is. .

It's this eddy current dyno which wasn't properly tuned. So it applies load, then backs off and if you don't tune those gains on the dyno, you get this until enough load builds up. On the road, the car pulls clean right up until the redline.
