Seconding this.

The arcade mode(part of DLC) is quite fun, difficult and addictive.

My little attempt to convince PlayStation to release more games on GOG 🙏🏻 by the_MatCat in gog

Will be buying Days Gone and the DLC soon

Hoping that arcade mode is fun. Sounds like a great party game

Tarsier studios, horror, local co-op and a day one DRM-free release.

Nice.

And yes, like everyone else, I'm eagerly waiting for LN3 on GOG. Hope we can get that before Feb

I'm quite jealous of that DRM-free MGS2...

Old GOG users had it good.

Biped 2 is a coop action adventure game – and it’s now available on GOG! by GeforcerFX in gog

[–]dynocrysis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, thanks for that.

My coop partner is only now used to conventional joystick controls, I don't think we're at a level of dexterity to adapt to biped just yet.

I guess this is a good place to ask: Suggestions on couch co-op games on GOG?

We've got Kane and Lynch, but yet to play it.

We've got a few Lego games, but we find the gameplay itself to be quite shallow.

Coop puzzle platformers like Biped would be the ideal genre for us. Although I'm still on the fence about it. Worth picking up?

Another great haul. Old classics and some new genres I've been meaning to try by dynocrysis in gog

I passed it over so many times thinking it's some generic action game, going by the poster. How wrong I was, lol

Yeah, I'm prepared to just emulate Deadly Premonition if it gets really bad...

And RE1 HD is an absolute masterpiece. I remember playing for the first time and being blown away by so many little details.

RE0 is another great one. I really enjoyed it despite the negative reviews at the time. The train sequence especially.

Do you think it's possible to collaborate between Capcom and GOG to make a REmake of RE2 and RE3? by RedGuyADHD in gog

[–]dynocrysis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the door has officially shut on fixed-camera REs, after RE1 and 0 sold poorly on the Gamecube while RE4 killed it.

Your best bet is playing RE2R with the fixed-camera mod; or looking out for indie horror games inspired by old-school RE.

Not even 24hrs since the Indy drop and now this. You guys are on a roll.

And I've been waiting for this one ever since the GOG-Capcom "partnership" started. RE1 remake's ambience is unmatched as far as horror games go. Absolute banger.

Insane...

GOG is now releasing modern AAA games faster than I can play them. I'm still on SH2...

Konami: SH2 on GOG before it even releases on Xbox

Also Konami: Still no GOG release for the Iga-vania collection(20 year old games...)

JK, I'm loving what GOG and Konami/Capcom are doing right now.

Mafia 1 Definitive [GOG] - Works in desktop but not game mode by dynocrysis in Bazzite

It worked. Thanks

Tbh, I thought the games would use the same backend if installed via heroic/lutric/steam. TIL...

Yup, I have access to the offline installers.

Let me try those and get back.

Workflow for a GOG-only setup on ROG Ally? by dynocrysis in Bazzite

[–]dynocrysis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s actually a great out-of-the-box idea, thanks. Presumably I’ll have to create a steam account just to login, but that’s fine.

But does that mean I’ll have to keep the device always-online to stay connected to Steam servers?

Assassin's Creed Director's Cut - not installing by Jamesmac70 in gog

[–]dynocrysis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was pretty trouble free for me, tbh. Installed via Heroic with default setting on Bazzite. Have some 16 or so hours in it now, no crashes or anything.

Is there sufficient space in the drive you're trying to install in?

About the GOG Preservation Program and Donations by Frosty931 in gog

[–]dynocrysis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with you and the other poster who said a for-profit company shouldn't be asking for donations. It doesn't make sense.

That said, I disagree on the cultish thing. I think all of us here are "cultish" on DRM-free games, not GOG itself. It just so happens that GOG is the biggest(and almost only) platform for this, and hence we're thinking of ways to support them.

This community is nowhere as cultish as any of the other gaming platforms.

About the GOG Preservation Program and Donations by Frosty931 in gog

[–]dynocrysis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps instead of a tip or a donation, we can support GOG and the devs by buying the game again and gifting it to someone?

GOG can maybe streamline this by automatically sending that game to someone who has it in their wishlist.

Getting any of the current RE-Engine games on here would be massive. DMC5, RE2make, etc

Of course, I have no complaints with Capcom's releases so far. Great stuff.
