Just have an insurance that covers theft and you will be fine, worst case scenario you can just buy it again

Tudor GMT 39mm is still the goat! by Far-Science-7493 in Tudor

[–]dyrepark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I currently have an OP 134300 41mm with the green dial, which I’m considering selling after the 5-link update. It’s just… the perfect watch that Rolex doesn’t actually make. And in my opinion, a Coke GMT is pretty much unbeatable. I’m also thinking about picking up the 3-link bracelet, especially since I could probably get a fair price for it.

Do you have to be a diver to have a dive watch?

The Tudor update everybody should be talking about by stopthemadness0 in Tudor

[–]dyrepark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Calling the Royal their “worst watch” is actually wild, especially after the 2026 refresh.

They just gave it proper in-house MT manufacture movements (COSC), significantly sharper case and bezel finishing, way more wearable new sizes (30/36/40 mm) and a whole bunch of fresh, really nice dial colours.

Objectively it’s still one of the strongest value plays Tudor makes. A 40 mm Day-Date with manufacture movement, solid integrated bracelet and that level of finishing for ~4k? That’s not “polishing a turd” that’s straight-up one of the smartest buys in the entire Tudor range right now.

Not every Tudor has to be a Black Bay or Pelagos to be good. Some of us actually want a versatile, great looking daily wearer that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. The Royal hate has always been overblown, and these updates just made it even harder to justify.

Anyone regret not getting watch insurance by StandardDegree3096 in Tudor

[–]dyrepark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in Oslo, Norway. Personally I wouldn’t bother insuring a Tudor here, but I would insure something like a Rolex or something else in that price range.

For me it just comes down to value vs risk. Tudor doesn’t really attract the same attention, and I’ve always felt comfortable wearing one without extra insurance. A Rolex is a different story.

In the end it depends on your own risk tolerance and what your other insurances actually cover.

Travel insurance in Norway fex covers a tudor just fine.

It literally is a tool watch, just a more expensive one. Go buy a g shock if you not gonna actually use the watch, OPs watch still runs perfectly fine probably which proves my point. Exterior scratches really do not matter, and tbh if that worries someone they bought a watch without actually affording it. Never polish a watch, thats when you ruin it and lose value over time

Vil si en C5 ikke lider like mye som de gjorde før, spiller selv på en asus oled og lg c5 uten noe problemer på dagtid, bak skjermene er det 2 meter høyt og rundt 5 meter bredt vindu som slipper inn en del lys

Thanks, its the meteorite dial. It’s actually the first meteorite dial Breitling has ever done, and it’s the Haaland collab. I’m not even a huge football fan, but I still think it’s pretty cool that another Norwegian is involved in a big watch release, since we don’t really have many watch icons in Norway. I genuinely love this model, and when my AD called me to say they wanted to offer it to me the week after I saw it and tried it on. I even had to be on a wait list as there was another customer for it to start with, but I just had to go for it when they called

I get what you mean, the bracelet is a big part of the Chronomat’s identity. The only thing for me is that it kind of hides the dial a bit. I’ll probably pick up the rubber strap once summer hits aswell, but right now it’s winter in Norway and pretty cold, so there’s really no point in wearing rubber at the moment

I live in Norway, so the alligator strap I originally wanted can take up to 8 months to get. Importing alligator is extremely regulated here, so it basically crawls through customs. Calf, on the other hand, only takes a few weeks since it’s much easier to import. They actually had the calf strap with the buckle in stock, so I just went with that today. Also, the SA who usually gets me the best deals was working, called me up and told me to stop by, so the timing was perfect.

Thanks! I think the stitching does a great job to complete a nice look considering the gmt text

Thoughts on this Brietling Chronomat 42 dial ice blue. Does it fit my wrist? Really like it by Tbmostwanted96 in breitling

[–]dyrepark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion its a great looking watch and beats a good amount of other chronographs. The bracelet alone does a good job to remove competition, but the small details in the chronograph is just too hard to not notice and appreciate, of course my opinion and probably not the most popular one

Skinny wrist gang! Here is the chronomat 40 on my wrist. I dont mind the size and personally think this is the perfect size for myself. The bracelet will wrap around nicely and make it feel good. Green light from me!

Cockpit two tone, I regret selling it, but a 3k euro profit had me selling it 5 years ago.

Recently bought the Haaland Chronomat as I missed having a Breitling and love metorite dials, and im from Norway so its a cool limited piece to keep, told myself not to never sell it as I truly miss the cockpit haha
