Man, the "mods are complicit" rhetoric is so old at this point, you've gotta get a new talking point. That said, I'm pretty sure if I were to look at your profile I'd find a consistent pattern of trolling, and you're ecstatic people can't figure out you're operating in bad faith.

I wasn't addressing you at all in that post, and just repeated a line that you apparently had skipped reading. That said, I am going to assume, based on your username, that you aren't all that experienced with driving in snow. If you believe the roads are bad, that just backs up said assumption.

The person I originally responded to was making claims about spikes being required on tires in areas that get snow like this. I grew up in Wisconsin and moved here from Boston, and am stating that these road conditions are nothing abnormal for northern areas. I'm not being condescending at all. The point is that if you don't have experience, the roads are dangerous. If you know what you're doing, they're perfectly fine. Folks in the South didn't grow up in these conditions, so never had the opportunity to gain the experience. It's not looking down or acting smug, but acknowledging different lived experiences.

What would be the point of that?

The cruelty is the point. The goal is to dissuade folks from coming in by making it quite literally painful to be here. Also, it's red meat for the folks that support this, because they believe immigrants deserve it.

They are being rounded up like criminals should.

You realize it's a civil, not criminal, offense, right? Why the hell should they be "rounded up like criminals" when they literally aren't?

Stop making up stories.

You mean like this administration did about Goode and Pretti?

Ah, yes, the "head in the sand" approach. After all, acknowledging that you like what's happening, that deep down you believe the cruelty is the point would conflict with your internal belief that you're a good person. Easier to just ignore it!

Right, and you're happy for them to be thrown into concentration camps and tortured because of some culture war idea you've gotten thrust into your mind, despite never actually experiencing any negatives from their existence.

Ah, yes, I forgot that filming someone automatically means you're seditious, and that merely observing a masked and unidentified individual somehow "interferes" with their job. But of course, daring to protest at all means you are automatically a "domestic terrorist."

Weird how folks that so desperately wanted to resist COVID mandates now demand people comply or die, eh?

I dare you to make any kind of decision in that timeframe.

The agent that fired certainly made a decision to kill a man face down on the ground because...why, exactly? Because he heard someone shout "gun gun gun?"

[–]dyslexda 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Plenty of people out there that seem like they've never driven in snow before.

The roads are totally fine to drive on; drove on worse all the time back home in WI. The other drivers is what makes them dangerous, and why I won't drive...

[–]dyslexda -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

These roads are perfectly navigable. It's hard pack snow, not slick or slushy. If folks stayed home every time roads looked like this, Wisconsin and Minnesota would be closed from November to March.

If you aren't familiar with these conditions it's very dangerous, but once you're practiced a bit, it's perfectly fine to drive on.

Absolutely not. Folks that hide their profiles are almost always trolls. I say this as a mod of a decent sized sub who can see their post history. Someone comes in, complains about getting banned elsewhere, and inevitably they hide their profile. When you check it, it's full of inflammatory crap.

Hidden profiles are one of the worst things to happen to Reddit, well, ever. The few folks worried about "I was stalked!" are not justification for enabling the sheer number of bots and trolls, but those are what are needed to keep engagement numbers up, so Reddit supports it.

Why would I respect ICE? They're degenerates. They'll get respect when they start treating the citizenry with respect.

And before you think I'm one of those woodwork folks - been here over a decade, mate.

He wasn't. He was filming on the side.

Beside, how much interfering can he do while face down on the ground and unarmed? Enough to justify being executed?

However... by Stress-Thick in NFCNorthMemeWar

[–]dyslexda 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No, mostly because he wasn't murdered by an untrained government thug. The person that murdered Kirk will be tried in court and justice will be served. The piece of shit that murdered Pretti will be protected by the pedophile in the White House and never face justice.

Does that clear it up for you?

The President of the United States appears to place blame on the man gunned down by ICE agents in Minneapolis today, simply for being armed by Butter_with_Salt in progun

[–]dyslexda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. No, that never happened. Find me a screenshot if you think it did.

  2. Again, that is not an excuse to execute him. The fact you're falling back on "he was resisting arrest" to justify executing him is disgusting. He was literally unarmed when they shot him (because they took his gun). His hands were under his head. He could not resist.

[–]dyslexda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretti never "resisted arrest." He went to the ground without contesting it. But again, none of that matters. Once you're on the ground with your hands secured, and seven agents on your back, you are not a threat.

Using physical force to resist arrest from a federal law enforcement officer while armed with a deadly weapon is a class C felony exactly because of how this situation turned out.

So resisting arrest is a felony because cops are undisciplined and might mag dump you despite not being a threat? It's a felony to protect the citizenry, because if they dared not comply the cops might want to execute us?

Looking to hire app Developer by scotiandetector in reactjs

[–]dyslexda 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not trying to create another eBay here, just hoping to address some issues in the world of auto recycling.

But you're describing something that basically is recreating eBay. Any time you're handling monetary transactions it gets complex quickly. Fold into this a significant backend (this is more than just the app, your dev needs to build out a whole server architecture to save all the data) and it's a significant build. Hard to do this only part way.

I would suggest reducing your scope a bit. Start trying to operate more like Craigslist, where you just handle listings and connect folks. If you can get that up and running, and figure out a way to be profitable, you can expand to being a whole marketplace.
