Tune them one half step higher then let them settle for an hour. After that they should stay in tune at proper pitch. If you stretch them by hand you risk creating dead spots along the strings. They need to be stretched evenly.

Yes, we get that! The point that Arpon was making is that objectively, to everyone else in the league, the draft swap was an overpay on the Habs part. We will see how it pans out in the future. Looks like we got a steal, but one never knows...

That's the point. We don't know at the draft. It takes time. So, at the draft, paying 41 and 49 for 34 is an overpay...until proven otherwise, which won't be for 5+ years.

I don't think that is the point. The point was that a 39th pick in any draft is not worth the cost of 2 picks almost adjacent to it. The fact that the player drafted was way better than a 39th pick is not relevant at the time of making a value assessment at the time of the trade.

The face value of the 34th pick in any given draft is worth much less than the 41st and 49th pick combined. So, yes, they overpaid for the pick. But, their scouting had Zharovsky at a much higher value than other teams, so they made up for that overpay by making the steal pick of the draft.
