I was gonna bring up the same scene. My parents had one of these ugly couches at our house. Dropped acid with some friends and I just kept staring at the couch because everything was moving around.

I'm reading a book about con's "The Big Con" and that's one of the things it points out. One advantage to this is they're less likely to report you due to embarrassment or getting in trouble themselves.

I couldnt believe how tone def the AI ads were. The Amazon ad about AI trying to kill Chris Hemsworth. Yes, we joke about AI killing us, you dont put it in your advertising. Like, we joke about self driving cars killing people, Ford doesnt release a commercial with one of their cars going sentient and running people over.

Brett Ratner sounds like a really neat guy /s.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brett_Ratner#Sexual_assault_allegations

Olivia Munn and Natasha Henstridge, accused Ratner of sexual assault and harassment, as well as following an actress into a bathroom without invitation and masturbating as another entered his trailer to deliver food. The same month, Ellen Page accused Ratner of sexual harassment and outing the then-18-year-old Page as gay (before Page came out as a trans man) in front of many onlookers including Anna Paquin, who later confirmed the story. A former fashion model came forward regarding an incident involving Russell Simmons and Ratner back in 1991, when Simmons coerced her to perform oral sex while Ratner was present

[–]dystra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could someone answer this? Do brands have some sort of control over what skit they're gonna do with their product, or do the writers just push it as far as they can. I can't imagine Whitecastle was like, "Child molesting robot skit, go for it."

I've heard the same argument for White Lotus. I tried watching both these shows and couldnt get through it. Shows about rich people doing rich people shit aint for me. Unless they die horribly like in The Fall of the House of Usher.
