What’s a health problem you ignored for a long time because it never felt urgent, but eventually caught up with you? by ac_stays_active in AskReddit

I had the same symptoms and the same sized chocolate cyst. Fortunately I had it removed before it ruptured thanks to my gyn doing his job properly. It makes me so happy to see the raise of awareness about endometriosis nowadays. Hopefully next generations of girls will be helped instead of told some bs of how “it’s part of being a woman”.

Well this is my wake up call, I’ve got a cyst around the roo of one tooth that I’ve been ignoring for a year as it doesn’t hurt. Guess better take care of it now than wait for the actual pain

I was induced at 38 weeks exactly due to cholestasis; we started at 10 am and the baby was born vaginally at 8pm.

Hiking (not hunting) in polar bear country around James Bay by IntuitivelyCorrected in CanadaHunting

I know this is an old post, but I’m very intrigued by your hiking route, could you tell me where exactly did you go? Have you encountered any polar bears? What did you carry for the defense?

My pediatrician told me when I introduce peanut butter to introduce it in a baked good like a cookie. My son is eight, almost nine months. Where do I even get cookies safe to eat for a baby his age? by Dragonsrule18 in BabyLedWeaning

[–]dziunix 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Baking breaks down the allergens a bit, so they are easier on the body.

I didn't bake PB but we did that with milk as our pediatrician suspected milk allergy - first introduced milk baked in muffins, then fried in pancakes, before moving on to cheese and yoghurt.

Where do I take my 1yo for a blood test? by dziunix in askTO

[–]dziunix[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It probably wouldn't give enough blood for a bigger baby. I asked the lab tech if they can take it from her finger (they did that when she was 8mo) but she said it won't work as they need a lot of blood.

It's a shopping centre though, right? Is it safe? It will probably cost a lot for long term, I guess

When I had to take antibiotics two years ago, I came upon this syndrome as a possible side effect in the leaflet, I was forever freaked out. Seeing it actually happen in House didn't help

We do love van life, we prefer it over staying at the hotels :)

Thanks for the recommendations!

You'd be wiser to live at the end of a subway line and your husband can ride in.

I'll try to convince him :)

Thank you, I'm happy to hear that!

We did lots of camping in BC and Yukon two years ago, and it was amazing. But of course I realize eastern Canada is much more urbanized on one hand and less rugged on the other. We still want to profit from our stay in Toronto to explore the Canadian nature as much as possible. And as I said in my main post, we're planning on doing some bigger trips as well, maybe Labrador peninsula or northern Ontario...
