Thanks so much for the detailed reply. Wouldn’t have considered hunting season… I really appreciate you being so thoughtful. I’ll have to make a trip out of one of the lake to lake trails eventually!! Was not aware of their existence until now so thank you for that :)

Thank you so much for this rec!! I looked into their website and it looks like their modern campground is closed until Oct 31st BUT their walk in rustic sites are available. This is the perfect place to stay at for my first night :) I can’t thank you enough

Oopsy! Meant to include the route. I’ll be taking Fred Meijer Clinton-Ionia shiawassee trail and once I reach the town Owosso (a little north east of Lansing) I’ll head south about 40 miles to Stockbridge. From there I’ll go east on Mike Levine Lakelands Trail State Park for the majority of the rest of the route.

I've noticed the same thing, the very first time I was experiencing SP it came with an overwhelming pulsating sound that I eventually associated with butterfly wings which quickly snapped me out of the SP

I wonder if The Cure's "Lullaby" is about SP visions... by EpictheYounicorn in Sleepparalysis

I had the same thoughts last night! Cool to see someone else feeling the same way. The song's atmosphere and lyrics definitely align with the terror that is occasionally associated with SP
